Much more striking in real life than in a photo, but nice and eccentric like the building, which I like!

Lloyd's Building to be listed

The Lloyd's Building is set to become the first postmodern structure in the City to be listed - at a time when it is threatened with being dwarfed by its upstart neighbours.

The 14-storey stainless-steel-clad tower, designed by Richard Rogers, is already overshadowed by the Heron Tower and the Gherkin.

But Lloyd's bosses fear the impact of new skyscrapers - nicknamed the Cheesegrater, Helter Skelter and Walkie Talkie - will further erode views.

8/10

It looks very unique for London. I prefer what it looks like on the inside to the outside though.

does anyone have access to tenant fitouts of the typical office floors? The only images I can find do not contain furniture or interior partitions.

Thanks!

I absolutely love this building. I am, I think, In love with it. For me it's the signature building in the financial district. Everything is generic next to this. It never ages because it's so unique, even though it was designed in the 70s. Inside it's mesmerising, outside it is awesome, and awe inspiring.

I worked in the Lloyd's building for a few years - by far my favourite building in London. And the mechanics of it are genius.

Rather freaky though to see that photo from Remembrance Day celebrations and to see not only friends and coworkers but my lovely mug right there!!

Last shot like that - last year they decided that due to H&S, no more standing on the non moving escalators.

I really think this building is so overrated. There are much better looking skyscrapers in London. It looks better on the inside than it does on the outside.

Very unique, fits in well with the area. Another interesting building to intrigue as you walk down those streets.

It would not work very well if located in Bognor, but the city of London is perfecto.
