Zagreb is a good place to visit. Here in local places, you get good deals to beach resorts it's like 175km for 5 days to Makarska (that includes transportation,hotel) so it's a good deal! I'm sure it's alot more expensive for non-locals of the region.

Kappa, I will tell you this: there are lots of really beautiful girls in Croatia (and the ones I met are really cool and with good heads on their shoulders). But I prefer Israeli girls. Although, Lebanese girls still seem to be #1 in my book (at least the ones who don't have mental issues and who don't worship Nazis and Nasrallah)
