Hello Pellicano!
I think the side statues of the facade of Santa Maria Assunta in Turro has been removed during the restorations, in the early XX century...
Anyway I think the statues should be put back in their place

Here you are today's facade, very hidden between quiet palaces of a peripherical street in Turro district

...and this is how the nave looked like before the works:

me too!

Now time to a very interesting modern church, with stained glasses made of alabaster windows. The effect of the natural lights on the inside is pure magic!

Ancient picture of San Giovanni Battista in Trenno little baroque church, image by SSC Italia user Bagaj:

...and how it looks like today:

It is still in Milan municipal area, but it is in a not so urbanistical intensive area, there ares still many green areas around the city center and before the metropolitan area, a sort of a green belt in the southern and western part of the city.

Sant'Alessandro baroque basilica. Many cathedrals in latin america were inspired by this basilica by Francesco Richini, who introduced the fashon of the twin bell towers at the sides of the facade, an architectonical elements that was very used in northern gothic style, but wasn't very used until Richini rediscovered it:

the dome:
