I grew up in New Jersey. New Jersey has always required front plates (at least as long as I've been paying attention - since about 1970). But it looks ( http://www.15q.net/nj.html )as if they always have the holes (if not, how are you going to attach them?? - my current Pennsylvania plate is actually held on by screws through the holes)
And that "N.J." looks a little off, somehow, to someone who's seen lots of those.... I've posted the Illinois one at AARoads. I'll see what they say. EDIT: And here's your answer! "That truly is genuine. That plate is for vehicles older than 25 years old and have limited use." http://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.p...seen#msg158195 Last edited by Penn's Woods; July 2nd, 2012 at 10:53 PM. |

Today I saw a truck from Cyprus near Vaggeryd, Sweden!! The second Cypriot truck I have seen in my life! I couldn't take a picture though.
I also saw a Russian car from Murmansk. Russian cars/trucks are not rare at this part of the E4, but this is the first time ever I see one from Murmansk.

In that case I have the numbers wrong, because I'm 100% sure it was an Audi

What plate is this? I saw it in Växjö today.

Yesterday I saw a black license plate with (from left to right) two digits, followed by "T" (yes, it was in italics) and then 6 digits. Does anyone know where it could be from?

The worst part is that people actually claim to have seen these vehicles themselves...
