Hi guys, musta?

I'm only new to the forums but I've been playing this football game for a while. I'm also from the Philippines, but this game is internationally-based. ;3 The game's called "Futera World Football Online".

The idea of the game is to create your own football team, whatever name you prefer, represent your country, and basically play with other players across the globe. The game uses trading cards to setup your own team. You know, like the one So the cards now aren't just for collecting, they're for playing too. The game's been running for 3 years. 3 years and I haven't known it, lol, and most of you haven't too, right? I wouldn't be so shocked.

Once you register you will be given a starter squad. The starter squad contains the players, the managers, and a stadium card.

I seem to like the game, as a football lover myself, because I get to "be" in the game and be the "manager" of "my own" team, rather than cheering football teams on and sit on the benches and watch. :3 Tsaka nakakapaglearn rin kayo ng mga own strategies niyo kung paano maglaro. :3

What do you think? Wanna give it a try? :3
Subukan niyo naaaaaaaaaaaaaa para may kalaro akong pinooooooooooooy hahaha! XD

WE ARE COMING IN AS FAVOURITES: PALAMI
Quote:
MANILA (12 July 2012) – The draw has been made. And with still months to go to the big event in November, the gauntlet has already been thrown as Dan Palami, the team manager of the Philippines national team, has stated that they are coming in as favourites and not as a surprise package.

The Philippines created a stir at the last edition of the AFF Suzuki Cup when they dumped defending champions Vietnam 2-0 in Hanoi in the group stage. That victory ensured their passage into the next round where they faced Indonesia in the semi-finals.

Is it official that Rizal memorial Stadium would be a Home of the Azkals? The stadium would be exclusively used by PFF and some big improvements are in the offing like doubling up the capacity up to 30,000 spectators and an artificial turf.

yes, for the short-term.. i do hope they'll build a bigger football stadium somewhere else in the long-term, as the growth of our stadiums is synonymous to the growth of our football prowess in the region

Tracksters to be relocated to PhilSports
By Olmin Leyba (The Philippine Star) Updated July 07, 2012 12:00 AM

MANILA, Philippines - With the Rizal Memorial Stadium about to be converted into the country’s football hub, the Philippine track and field team will be relocated to a new home, the soon-to-be-renovated PhilSports Complex.

“Track and field will have a new home at PhilSports. Our plan is to make the PhilSports a venue dedicated solely to track and field,” said Philippine Sports Commission chairman Richie Garcia.

The PSC is set to sign a memorandum of agreement with the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) on the refurbishing of the Rizal Stadium and exclusive use of the venue for the sport for at least 25 years.

In effect, bets in track and field will have to move their training to the PhilSports, another facility managed by the PSC.

But like Rizal, PhilSports needs repairs.

“We’ll renovate the oval and the field and the PSC has budgeted about P25 million for this,” Garcia said. “Hopefully, everything will be completed before the end of the year.”

Rizal, which has housed athletics for the longest time before reemergence of football, will become the permanent home of the Azkals. The decades-old site will undergo facelift through a $500,000 grant from Fifa’s GOAL program.

“We’ll convert the field into an artificial turf, and remodel the locker rooms,” said Garcia, adding that in the next few years, the bleachers area will be expanded to accommodate 10,000 to 15,000 more spectators.

The track at Rizal will be reduced to six lanes and will only be used for “cross-training,” according to the PSC chief.

good enough to be the Azkal's lair for the next decade.. as long as we have top-notch and global-standard facilities for FIFA-sanctioned events, the capacity is not yet an issue since the fan-base is still growing.. a 30,000-seater Astro-turfed Rizal just hits the right spot for now.. thanks!

Future Azkal!

Reyes, 9, joins FC Barcelona football academy
By Cedelf P. Tupas
Philippine Daily Inquirer

Quote:
MANILA, Philippines—A 9-year-old Filipino football standout has been accepted to FCB Escola, the academy of one of the world’s biggest clubs, FC Barcelona, in Spain.

Sandro Reyes, a fourth grader from Southridge, got the nod of FCB Escola coaches after undergoing a rigid screening process that started when he joined a football camp in Singapore early this year. Reyes is the only homegrown Filipino who is part of the academy.

Sandro trained under the Younghusband Football Academy. He will start at the FCB Escola and stay there til 12 years old, and if he proves himself will be elevated to the La Masia.

He got accepted along with this Irish kid who's also receiving some media attention: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...ish-Messi.html

Sandro Reyes on being a future Azkal. Like it or not? In my opinion, he will do better if he plays abroad. He has tremendous skill and should not be wasted.

I hope he becomes the next Lionel Messi or better yet the next Paulino Alcántara.

Btw, here is a video of highlights from some of the tournaments Sandro participated when he was 7 to 8 years old. I think it was uploaded by his dad.

The boy has impressive dribbling skills for his age.

He will do better if he plays abroad. He has tremendous skill and should not be wasted. But yeah, as long as the Azkals improve their club, it's fine.

I think you're confusing a football club from a national team. FC Barcelona is a club team in the Spanish La Liga while the Azkals is the Philippine National Football Team.

Every footballer dreams of playing football professionally for a club team at the best leagues in the world (i.e. English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A etc.) at the same time they also dream of being a part of their National Teams. Lionel Messi plays for FC Barcelona professionally but at the same time he also plays for the Argentina National Team.

In short one can play for a club team and a national team at the same time.

He should play in a foreign club and join our national team just like some of the foreign based players in the Azkals.

I know, but what I meant was understated. I just don't like how the media treated the Azkals. I don't like what they are doing in show business either. I hope he doesn't get influenced and will still stay focused if he gets the spotlight. If you get what I mean.. Sayang lang 'tong batang to.

Well that's just the way it is. If Sandro becomes successful in Spain the Philippine National team will benefit from it, at the same time, he will also receive media attention and will do endorsements as well, just like any popular footballer around the world. Kahit si Messi lumalabas din sa commercials at magazines. ganun talaga yun, it's just a matter of prioritizing I guess.
