I guess T3 alone would be enough to handle all the traffic.
from some document of T3's commercial plan, it mentioned that TA and TB will be close and all current departures and arrivals go to T3

but on the master plan they always draw plans around TA and TB and illustrating an operating status of them

i guess they will probably be re-opened in the future

and a new T4 will be built as well

I see, thanks.
I personally prefer airport terminals that are connected with each other (through concourses). Just gives me the feeling of ONE big airport and it's of course more comfortable if you have to change terminals as a passenger.

I guess I interrupted your photo update. Sorry for that.

no it was alright you dont need to apologise

yea i think that's why they now have an idea to build a T4 and connect T3 and T4 together with people mover underneath

For terminals A and B, it will definitely be a shame if they are closed...

I think they are ideal for budget airlines and can be budget terminals

Great update. Can't wait to see this in person (probably next year). Design-wise at least it is going to be one of the greatest airport terminals worldwide.

This is a cool looking airport terminal! But there's no way it'll open this year. I'm guessing it has eight months more of construction and four months of testing before it opens to the public.

They need spend the remaining months of construction improving the interiors and paving the runways before the actual launch next year.

Hainan Airlines to Commence Direct Shenzhen-Sydney Flight from Oct. 29
By Olivia Cao, WCARN.com | Jul. 11, 2012

Hainan Airlines disclosed that it will launch an international flight linking Shenzhen, China and Sydney, Australia, starting from Oct. 29. The opening of the Shenzhen-Sydney flight will construct one more convenient air bridge between China and Australia and furnish passengers with more flying choices.

The Shenzhen-Sydney flight will be operated thrice a week using a luxurious and comfortable Airbus A330-300 wide-body aircraft with 30 business-class seats and 254 economy-class seats. The Sydney-bound flight HU7913 is scheduled to take off from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport at 6:40 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and arrive in Sydney at 7:30 a.m. And the return flight will depart from Sydney at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and return to Shenzhen with an arrival time at 4:20 p.m. (all local time)

It is learned that Hainan Airlines has opened 19 domestic routes from Shenzhen and passengers can fly from a number of cities in China to Sydney via Shenzhen. In addition, these flights provide passengers from Beijing with convenient seamless transfer service.

The opening of the Shenzhen-Sydney flight is an important step in the process of expanding the Haikou-based carrier's route network to Australia and will lay a solid foundation for Hainan Airlines, a 5-star airline rating by Skytrax, to improve its network in Australia. Up to now, Hainan Airlines has launched more than 400 domestic and international flights covering Asia and reaching 90 cities in Europe, America, Africa and Oceania.

Since Chongqing Airport wasn't that updated for sometime, I think the moderators and admin people decided to close the thread...
