LOL.. I saw myself in those (July 1st) pictures.
![]() Can anyone confirm the attendance at the Square on Canada Day? I heard the announcement say either 30,000 or 130,000. Pedestrian traffic after the fireworks was just insane. Took me like 40 minutes just to drive from Burnhamthorpe to Rathburn.

I would say it's more like 30K. I waited 30mins or so before leaving.

That probably means it's closer to 130,000 this year. However, I think that figure includes everyone who came and went throughout the course of the day (there were many people coming and going). I think the tally of those who stuck around for the fireworks is ultimately somewhere between 30,000 and 130,000.

http://www.mississauga.com/what's%20on/article/1408744--tv-show-shooting-at-celebration-square
Chris Clay | Jul 23, 2012 - 12:22 PM Celebration Square is popular, no doubt about it. So popular, in fact, it's been recruited for a television series shoot on Tuesday and Wednesday. The square's fountain will not be available to the public on those two days to accommodate the filming of the television production, XIII: The Series. The fountain will be reopened to the public on Thursday.
