Suit yourself, but I prefer buildings with exterior walls as well. And I clearly said I want proper WALLS. We have a word for a panel of glass, it's called a 'WINDOW'

College Park is a classic 1930s skyscraper and they add a 1970s glass office tower to where one quarter of the building was intended to go. It looks absolutely ridiculous. What's next building a Sears on the roof of Union Station?

Besides, when/if they ever finish College Park they'll have to tear the whole thing down because it's sitting on part of the original floor plate.

It was a really sad addition, wasn't it?

We lost out big time because of the depression. So many cool projects got the axe. We were supremely lucky to still get Commerce Court. The cornerstone was laid on Black Friday, the
day the market crashed.

Yes. I actually like MacLean Hunter, just not in that location. The worst butchering is on the Yonge Street stretch. The 5 storey addition is just awful.

I'm trying to be the eternal optimist and hope that 10, 20, 30 years down the road an ambitious wealthy admirer of College Park will see fit to have the building completed in some form. Perhaps the Yonge Street stretch could be finished and a slightly altered version of the tower could rise.

It's probably too late to have the exact building due to MacLean Hunter and College Park I, but we can still have most of that 1930 building we were supposed to have. If Germany and Poland can build whole sections of their cities 40 years after WW2, we can finish 1 building. It would beautify downtown Toronto immeasurably. I believe the original was to be 205 m tall.

They did a smashing job of saving the façade of the McGlauchlan building:

How the Burano fits in with the Murano's:

they are working on the balconies on the south side of Muranos:

They are a pretty impressive addition to The Canyon.

Agree. Burano is tall, but Sick Kids steals the show. Sick Kids is the centre piece.

As the kids would say ... that building is indeed quite sick.
