LOL
you picked a misleading title for your thread. You should rename it as London thread. In fact what it your point to create a discussion about European skylines if you are not willing to read other people opinions? Well, delete the Milan photos if you think that it is not a major European city or that it does not have a skyline, anything that makes you happy dude! |

Of course Milan belongs in this thread, it's the second largest city in Italy after Rome, and one of the biggest urban areas in the European Union!
I think that qualifies as 'major', to be honest.

Excuse me? Did I say that Milan has the best skyline in Europe? No, I merely said that it counts as a major city - I'm not attacking you, so stop trying to defend yourself. As a matter of fact, I believe that London, Moscow and Frankfurt have the top 3 skylines in Europe. But the fact is that Milan is a big city, a major city, and the thread title clearly says 'major cities only'. Therefore, Milan deserves to be included in this thread, it isn't just about the capital/largest cities of each country, you know.
You're saying "Milan pictures should not be posted here because Milan doesn't have the best skyline in Europe." Well OK, I think that Warsaw has a pretty good skyline. But I don't think it's the best in Europe, therefore, there should be no pictures of Warsaw in this thread. Is that really the sort of thread you want to create? You're going to make a lot of enemies if you keep putting down other cities like that, so I say just let people post pictures of major European cities...a skyline isn't just about skyscrapers, and I do think Milan has a pretty good skyline.

Milan metro area is over 7 million people (urban area is also almost 5 million), so by far the largest in Italy and one of the largest in the EU. Also the skyline is growing fast into a serious competitor for the European top 5 IMO.

^ Exactly. As an urban area it's the largest in Italy, (although I think the main core of Milan has less people than Rome - I might be wrong, but it's still a big city regardless). It may not be the top skyline in Europe, but it's still got a very good skyline for a European city, and has a lot of potential for the future. I'm not trying to argue with you SO143, I'm just suggesting that you maybe allow other 'major' cities, besides the obvious ones, to be included in this thread - it's great to see/admire/discuss what a good and diverse range of skylines European cities have, even if they're not necessarily at the top of the skyline rankings list.

The best angle and lighting for the towers.
The relative sizes of the towers due to the big zoom are excellent also. In reality the groop of the towers at the back must look smaller ![]() Quote:
