Why was I banned / brigged / given an infraction

I've been banned twice today because Galandar doesn't like me asking critical questions about Azerbaijan, personally I think he's being spiteful and abusing his position as a moderator, btw this is a clone account because I believe my banning was unjust, I wasn't trolling, just asking pointed questions, a person is allowed an opinion, if that opinion isn't liked by a person in authority there is no need to get out the ban hammer. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail and I will be allowed back under my rightful username.

Crying out "mod abusing power" isn't gone do you any good, leave that part out and insstead concentrate on linking to the thread(s)/post(s) you think were the reason(s) for your brigging/banning.

I don't see any trolling, just difficult questions, which Galandar was not comfortable answering.

I enjoy participating in the forum, I'd like to be allowed to post again. I just don't believe what I have said warrants a permanent banning.

First of all, Galandar isn't your only problem. Three other, non-Azerbaijani, mods have given you infractions or warnings for pulling the same crap in their forums.

Second of all, based on your posts and the infractions and warnings you got, I can tell you I'm familiar with your type of subdued trolling. Thing is, people will get fed up with you at one point.

So I have no other option than to ban you again. Bye!

I recently got an account banned because it said i did spam. Before that i had never gotten in troube, i've never been warned or have offended anyone. I think the reason why that happened though was because i was looking through the "supertall" section and my post might have been a lot. All of my comments were positive and i'm sure non of them offended anyone. I did got a messege while i was searching the forums which said to stop spamming. I really don't remember who send it but regardless of who that was, i guess my comments weren't of their liking. I was looking through pictures and complimenting them so i'm sure i followed the rules. If anyone could help me with this i'd appreciate it. I remember your posting and they were indeed questionable. Did you deserved it or you just paid the price for the persistance of real spammers lately to flood the forum with their subtle spam, I can't really say.

Despite my disagreement with that comment, it doesn’t make sense to me for such harsh punishment. I had never broken the rules before, I didn’t have a history of bad behavior, and no comment I can assure was pointless or meaningless. I have to say that when someone did notify me that they thought my comments in the “supertall” were spam, I did stop. You can verify that by looking through the last post I did in that section and the time when I receive that message. With that said, I understand the rules and I think I demonstrated that by listening to others when there was suspicion I didn’t. If you still think that punishment was well deserved, which regardless of how I feel about it; I ask you to please review the punishment. As I insist, I’ll accept a punishment, but a permanent ban seems very harsh for a “questionable” reason.

Because it's not about making new accounts and such, that really would make me a spammer. Furthermore, I can't access this website through any of my computers at home, it says i was banned and won't let me go anywhere. Other things are friends and messages, other then being my actual e-mail.

I am VelesHomais and this is a double account, first and, hopefully, last, which I was forced to create.

The following is a message that I received yesterday upon my attempt to log into my account as usual:

No reason to start two of the same threads in the Aviation forum.

I've been on this forum for approximately 8 years now. It is common, reasonable and logical practice to merge duplicate threads. However, that's not quite, to say the least, what the moderator did. Since he did not specify which thread it was, I had to investigate manually. I found that my recently created thread on Donetsk airport has disappeared. Apparently the moderator deleted this "extra" thread without merging the content with any other thread.

Nevertheless, it gets even better. Since I could not use the search function, I spent a good amount of time going through 40 or so pages to find the "duplicate" thread. Lo and behold, I found it!

Here is the "original" thread that I created for the Donetsk Airport, which prompted the moderator to ban me and delete the new thread with all of its content: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=849106

There is a bit of a catch, however. This thread was closed with no posts in 2009.

There is also a similar old closed thread on the Lviv airport, but it was left undeleted.

Let's sum it up. I get banned for opening a thread on an airport, which already had a thread opened by myself three years ago and which got closed (archived?) years ago.

In conclusion, I request my account to be unbanned and for the responsible moderator to be relieved of his status as a moderator.

If there are additional, credible, reasons for this ban, then I do believe that after 8 years of activity on SSC I deserve to be made aware of all the facts. I am also aware that creating a second account is against the rules and should administrators decide to extend or sustain the current ban, I will leave and will not return under any new aliases.

I have a question about banning:

Is allowed a user to remove their published photos from their own post and quotes from other users?

I have been banned, and I'm not allowed to return (banned forever). I don't want to see my contributions in a place where I am not accepted. Also, these published content could be a problem for my privacy.

It's very important. It's only that I want: remove my own contributions under "pucelacitizen2", I have a list of post that I want to modify.

I have a suggestion for the forums, a "GOOD BYE BUTTON".

This button would be available for banned users. This button removes all messages published by the user (and test quoted from other users) and sends all of them to the email address (the address used in registration form). This could be a easy way to allow users to clean itself from the forums and say goodbye.

Depends on whether you got a permaban or a temporary ban. A permaban can be undone, but you would have to give a very good reason for that.
