For a city with a tallest building of only 833 feet, this is unheard of. How many will get built soon is another topic. I personally believe between 6 and 8, but who knows. It is definitely the one to watch between now and 2025.
Also check out GIFT city in Gujarat, it will have an ever more emphatic skyline than Mumbai will. Gujarat is the hottest investment state in India, and a huge number of multinationals from Japan, Singapore (east asia in general) are making this a hub of investment. It's way ahead of the rest of India in just about every aspect, I wouldn't even wait till 2025, in 5-10 years this place will have a solid skyline.

Alright, I will check out GIFT in a minute. Crazy how fast this is all happening. I hope they build no more than 15 at the most. Not because of my patriotism, but because I don't want to see its demand collapse and economy go down the drain. We already have enough problems with the global economy, and for a population giant to go down the same road would be disastrous.

Not sarcastic, I haven't really researched much into skyscrapers, I just look at skylines. You seem to know more about the various details

Alright, here's what I have found for Ghandinagar / GIFT:

Supertalls:

1. Diamond Tower (Pro), 410 m, Office.

2. Gateway Towers I & II (Pro), 362 m, Office.
3. Gateway Tower III (Pro), 245 m, Office.

I II III

Skyscrapers:

4. Naga Towers I & II (Pro), 230m, Office.

Highrises:

T6. QR Towers I, II, & III (U/C), 122 m, Residential.

T6. QC Towers I & II (U/C), 122m, Office (I), Mixed Use (II).
http://www.google.com/imgres?q=QC+to...r:0,s:21,i:140
Credits to SSP for info and Google for renders.

This is literally everything I could find on Ghandinagar. These are the only buildings on SSP, and I almost didn't find them because none of them are even drawn. I highly doubt the proposed towers will get built when you don't even have your own Wikipedia or SSP diagrams. Diamond Tower is all I could find on Wikipedia. That was it. No way these are all getting built.

They don't need a wikipedia page to officially declare they are building something. Everything on the riverfront has been approved for phase I (it will be built in 3 phases). And everything always gets built in Gujarat.

and there's a big thread with thorough information and constant updates about everything here:
http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...552518&page=75

btw, so you don't get confused when you read the word crores, 1 crore=$200,000
and lakh means 100,000 so 1 lakh rupees = $2,000

LOL @ People and their nationalism

Go ahead and find excuses for your nations. It's a trait I hate about guys, being a guy myself. Is there that need to fight over irrelevant sh*t like this? If you truly belong to this forum, then all cities should try to showcase and show-off their towers because towers and skylines are what we like!!!! People don't argue about cars based on their nationality or things like that?

My Number 1!!!
Not as massive as NY or HK, but Chicago has got the best balanced Skyline and above that, is has with the Willis Tower, Trump Tower and John Hancock Center 3 awesome Buildings.

People really do t get that Chicago is a beach city an that the great lakes are comparable to Mediterranean or caspian sea. They're massive! Looks great! I live in Michigan 3 hours away but I've never been, hope to go real soon!

Haha sorry I didn't word that right. Te Mediterranean is obviously way bigger! But I was trying to paint a picture to people who have never been there that it's an inland sea mote than a lake. People really can't seem to grasp what it looks like, they just think of the biggest lakr they've seen and try to multiply it but there's no other freshwater mass on this planet quite like it. Especially in size. And I agree :P
but I think the way the buildings are lined against the lake and the gold tone to the sand is very special. They need to build 2 supertalls closer to the lake to make it more superior!

True it's a massive and spectacular lake, but the beauty of the Mediterranean is in a totally different league. Even the Caspian along the coast of Baku is spectacularly beautiful. And those countries have lovely food and architecture to add to their lovely seas.

However, you're right many people really don't know that Chicago has a nice beach sitting right beside it, they think it's more comparable to NY or something. Instead, it has a lot to offer than New York does(with less crowd of course), along with a nice beach and a massive lake

Perhaps that's the reason why I find Chicago the best Skyline. It has not such "spectacular" commieblocks as HK and Shanghai and ridiculous buildings as Dubai.
By the way, NY is almost to massive and it has to many buildings of same height. Besides that NY only has 1 Building at the moment that is taller then 350 meters (without spire!).
NY was my number 1 before 9/11 and before the Trump Tower in Chicago was build.
HK Skyline is the most spectacular Night Skyline. But at day time you will see it has to much horrible residential Buildings.

Ill definitely have to agree with you about hong kongs residential ugliness in the day. But I think what new York has to offer now is just as spectacular as post 9/11 all do respects. The new world trade center is beautiful. It doesn't just add to the skyline but the giant mirror claddings compliments the surroundings perfectly! Can't wait for it finish! One57 is also a beautiful addition and I'm optimistic about 432 Park avenue, an the Hudson yards( when they finish) or if. I think chicagos a beautiful skyline but I can't really find it exiting with almost no growth to its skyline ever :/
