How the hell was the building contract awarded to this “Indian company”? Did the government launch a call for tender as required by law? Did they conduct a due diligence audit on the company they awarded the contract? The answer is obviously NO. My conviction is that this Indian company existed on paper only; the real “owners” of pseudo-company were to be found in the Muzito government. This swindle must not go unpunished; an investigation must be conducted and the culprits severely dealt with. Only so can the current government establish a good reputation for themselves.

Nothing more to add. Will see if anyone get puniched for this blunder. How the hell you build something and have it torn down because things went just done properly?. They tried to hide the truth to the population for some times...the connexio was late because a few people just messed up.
I guess the organisation of the summit his October kind of pulled people out of their comma and they are now trying to fix everything/ |

A new cell phone compan is about to be launched in the DRC. This was long time overdue since the company had acquired their licence some times ago. Will they have enough financial backing to sustain the very competitive congolese phone market...onyl time will tell. Wish them a nice welcome and successful business venture in the DRC. Acitivities scheduled to start in July of this year.

Congo-Brazzaville is also finishing up it's national fibre grid. Running through the entire country from Pointe-Noire to Ouesso. Also two important "fingers" divert from the main route, "finger 1" to Kinshasa in DRC and "finger 2" to Mbinda (town right on the border to Gabon). Initially Congo-Brazzaville connects to WACS but not ACE. Gabon connects to ACE but not WACS. The inter-connection of the fibre networks of Congo-B and Gabon will take place. Gabon will connect it's fibre optic national grid to the fibre optic national grid of Congo at Mayoko (right next to Mbinda) in order to share the loads.
Maybe of greater benefit for RDC, to interlink with these connections aswell. Quote:

Butembo, this is not a race, please.... always comparing ourselves with Angola is no sense & annoying.... Here in EU we dont have 5G yet, we can't use the latest Iphone, is that a priority? Is it very necessary at this time for congolese? They have built a city Kilimba (ghost town), as tu pensé à la perte d'argent des promotteurs de ces appartements du fait qu'ils ne soient pas occupés?

@@@@@
Angola is ahead of in every aspect of basic infrastructures...... Yes communications is a priority...... And we are supposed to be racing...... How else are we going to develop we arent in a race/competition?...... This is what makes me so frustrated against Kabila who is not ambitious @ all.... To me a president with no ambitions or know priorities is useless....
