Record-breaking season ticket renewals

Quote:
http://www.juventus.com/juve/en/news...12_abbonamenti
A 90% renewal rate in season tickets for the upcoming 2012/13 campaign. Juventus Premium Club already sold out

Juventus Stadium has celebrated yet another record following last season’s phenomenal sequence of sold out fixtures.

Ninety per cent of fans have renewed their season tickets in the standard sections of the stadium, a significant increase on the 75% of renewals from last year.

But that’s not all: 89% of Juventus Premium Club ticket holders have opted to reconfirm their seat for the upcoming season, while all the remaining Premium areas have already been sold out.
At this rate we would need to upgrade with more seats very soon

Does anyone have an info about possible expansion. I mean can our stadium be expanded and how much is the maximum expansion capacity? I would appreciate if someone could provide me with some sort of a link which would confirm that possibility. I think we are losing plenty of money right now as a result of small capacity. Still don't understand why we decided to built only 40k. 50K + would be more reasonable. I understand that Delle Alpi was deserted much of the time, but our new stadium has plenty of additional contents which can attract people not only on matchdays. I won't even mention the comfort and an excellent visibility among other things. As the things stand in future tickets will be scarce and expensive with plenty of fans left in fury.

Juve have been in the stadium 1 season. Many clubs have gone through the new stadium thing and found that a few years down the line demand isnt as brisk. And even worse is that there were plenty of empty seats at a few Juve games I saw last year. Maybe tickets were sold, but people werent filling them.

I dont see one good reason why they should expand. They can leverage the capacity to increase demand and pricing structures. They may lose that with 50,000. They would certainly lose that with 60,000.

the stadium is 1 year old now

One can like it or not, but its impact on the serieA was impressive. With Juventus Stadium, Juventus managed to win the title again after years. The museum is doing great as well.

41k stadium is suitable for trash club like regina or bologna. A big club like juve should be going for bigger stadium with the capacity at least 60k. Real, barca, bayern, manchester and all the others elite club in europe have a big stadium. So why on earth that a big club like juve built a small stadium like this??

Because they couldn't fill it up if it was 60k?

hmm the count is always uncertain, we still don't know if the premium seats are counted in. Plus, we have 2k seats for the away supporters, and those are often empty.

The stadium has been always sold out (for the Juve fans seats) apart from a couple matches, so i think the real average attendance would be more than 37k.

What Juventus should do is allow season tickets holders to easily sell to other people their seat in case they can't attend one match.
