Jet Airways Bangalore Flight is BACK eff. W12

Jet Airways is resuming its Bangalore flights from Madurai, effective Oct.28th, but in different and very good timings.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Quote:
New timings :

IXM - BLR - 18.25
BLR - IXM - 19.55
It will be a daily flight and will be operated as IXM-BLR-IXM and will go from IXM to MAA.

Same schedules available in amadeus.net confirming the re-entry of 9W in IXM-BLR route.

So, We got a Convenient return flight for Bangalore now..

Thanks - Sankar.

I feel it is too quick for us to have a second BLR.

I want the first by SG to get a strong hold in the IXM - BLR route and then we go for the second flight for the same route.

Needless to say, I am happy to see our guesses and wishes (9W will be forced to look beyond MAA for IXM) coming true.

It's still three months to go MK. So no need to worry about it. I feel evening flight could be even better than morning and this is not to say SG morning timings are not good. We need both morning and evening.

No need to worry MK

SG-BLR flight is picking up now..Only BLR-IXM on weekends are below average.

But with Convenient timings from both SG and 9W, BLR will be a sure hit-no doubt.

One can take morning SG flight to go BLR and return at night by 9W evening flight..Convenient return for BLR..

Somehow (or) other, We have BOM-MAA-IXM one way by AI..Only the return not available. But we can't conclude they shut down this route, as still their flight for IXM-BOM is available at amadues.net for W12.

B/w AI is operating the same aircraft as IXM-MAA and MAA-CCU..Why cant they pin the route and offer single ticket for IXM-MAA-CCU one way.

If it was some private carrier, they will never miss the chances. In fact, If SG had got similar options, they would have advertised in a big way that they are connecting Madurai with Kolkatta for the first time..!!

But AI seems doesn't even think of this option..Perfect example for lazy and mis-management..

Thanks to Gilli to share the pics.

The lands that are acquired are now being fenced using this type of fence (now becoming common practice across TN). Me and our Sundar noticed this when we went to spot the AI COK flight but I was able to click this only when I went to spot the BLR flight by SG some days back (the clicking of the flight was anyways not very successful).

I inquired a man who was selling tender coconuts in Mandela nagar bus stop (nearby the ring road opposite to this very site) and he told that that area comes under Ayanpaappaakudi (village or panchayat I am not sure, you guys should find the same name in the government gazette notification of land acquisition for IXM expansion) and they fenced these lands a month back and told that those who don't have pattaa are being acquired (maybe his understanding was that), I managed to give him some explanation on Airport expansion and big aircrafts and left in 15 mins.

I was able to see similar fenced lands here and there in the ring road.

So, land acquisition is going slowly but sure. If corporation hands the land quickly to IXM expansion, I am sure we will be having a big runway soon.

And I hope you guys see some construction materials (stones and sand) nearby the runway in the first picture, I was not sure for what they were, if only somebody could shed more light on that?

Ayan-Papakudi is a part of Avaniyapuram-Southern end (Near Ayyanar Koil Kanmoi once you took a Sunset Pic) I am sure..!!

And Avaniyapuram is till Chinna Udaippu village, which is a ward in AVP. So, Obviously Some parts of Chinna Udaippu may probably come under Ayan Papakudi.

B/w the Construction materials at the side of the runway may be for Strengthening of the existing runway..Just a guess..!!

Jet seems set head-to-head with SG at IXM

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Yes..Looks like they're trying to operate both BLR and HYD with same aircrafts. But IXM-BLR-HYD with ATR-72, flying 2 hrs 45 mins is very strange..They can try their 114 seater B737s in this route, for comfortable and safe flying.

By adding second flight to hyderabad the indian carriers have come to know the true potencial of madurai airport and which airport should be focused in tamilnadu.I would be happy if the same process been delivered in international also by indian carriers!

@Ananth's comment : +1.

Great to see the 9W waken up (thanks to SG since they were instrumental in bringing about such a change).

Madurai getting the most out of SG.

Good cut throat competition to give other than MAA so that our IXM users are benefitted.

Since HYD is going to be a one stop, I guess the fares are going to be less than that of direct.

I guess with this we will be reaching the saturation capacity for HYD and BLR (I may be seriously wrong).

Fingers crossed (no eating omlettes before egg is laid).
