Island of Green : If they can amalgamate the great ideas they have and deliver it, it will be possibly one of the biggest tourism & recreation assets of Kolkata. I sincerely hope that their planned initiative come to fruition.

BT's "Island of Green" is atreat for the eye. The first eco park of the city have all the ingredients to be a major success.

@ Arijeet- Thanx for those super views of Rajarhat Rd area. We often take snaps of the planned New Town segment, but tend to overlook the periphery of the old Rajarhat Rd stretch, which seems to be catching up with the developmental schemes as well. Especially the new 6 lane connecting MAR will help boost the real estate scenario there further.

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in New Town Kolkata

The highest offer was given by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Kolkata. They offered Rs 34 crores for the 2-acre plot.
Last week, the Chartered Accountant Institute paid the price in full. I welcome their prompt action and hope they set up their institute soon. We may have a formal signing ceremony soon.

Yes. They have been raising fund from CAs for funding the project. The existing building at Russel Street is too small for their requirements.

well, DM has been around for many years and should know better. I hope this design is rejected and a better one is selected.
