First round of talk about Taling Chan - Siriraj (Thonburi) extension of red line commuter - with 150 men participating in the first public opinion meeting with 3 stations on 6.5 km route including
1. Talingchan Floating Market station at Bang Ramad
2. Charansanitwongse station to connect with Blue Ring
3. Thonburi-Siriraj station

The construction of elevated double tracks for this line will take 2 years to be done ... The construction can be started in early 2013 and done by the end of 2015 with the budget of 5 Billion Baht and the expected daily number of passengers in 2019 at 24220 passengers a day. The 2nd round of talk will be called in October 2012.

Thonburi - Siriraj station - at Grade station behind Siriraj Hospital and near the Excellent Center of Siriraj - pretty far from Intercity section of Thonburi station though even though it is 1.3 km away from Charansanitwongse station - Hope that they will come up with facility to connect with the Intercity trains

Charansanitwongse station - elevated station which is an Interchange with Blue ring at Charansanitwongse MRT station - the replacement of Charansanitwongse stop - 2.4 km away from Taling Chan Floating Market station

Taling Chan Floating Market station - at Grade station near the parking lot of Talign Chan District Office - this will replace Bang Ramad Stop - 2.1 km away from Taling Chan Junction -with level crossing with Chimplee Road

Thonburi (Siriraj) - Taling chan extension will consist of 3 tracks - 1 old single track and 2 new tracks - Thonburi Loco Depot and the current Thonburi station for Intercity will function as the Maintenance Center for the Red line commuter

Thonburi station for red line will go deeper to be very closed to Arun Amarin bridge and may even closer to the old Thonburi terminal - a just a few hundred meters away from the old Thoburi terminal ...

The current Thonburi Station & Thonburi Loco Depot will function as the maintenance Center for Red Line commuter on Thonburi side of BKK though ... Let's see how are they gonna make a connection between Thonburi station for Red line commuter and Thonburi station for Intercity as they have been shown as separated entities.

Reviving the railway link between Aranyaprathet to Poipet.
On Cambodian side, lots of land encroachment as Casino building which require a demolishing a few pillars ... while there is Rong Kluea Market on Thai side which will have no choice but to remove some part of the market and move them to the vacant area nearby.

For the connect with the neighbor, we have learnt that Chinese government initially consider the connection with Thailand via Luang Namtha in Laos and Chiang Khong Port in Thailand but Lao government want a rail link to Viengchan Capital city which compel Thailand to give loan and aids to make 7.7 km extension of railway line from Tha Nalaeng to Viengchan Capital City. It will take 8 hours to go from Nong Khai to China.

There is a hope that once the construction of 7-8 km railway line from Aranyaprathet to Poipet can be started and done by the end of 2014 as the same time as 7.7 km, it will help a lot on import-export tradings between neighbors for AEC in 2015.

Dr Krong going to ask Ministry of Finance to take over Airport Link while coming up with extension to Pataya and Rayong as a part of High Speed train service in addition to extension to Donmueang to connect 2 airports.

Furthermore, Airport Link must be separated from SRT and the request of SRT union to keep Airport Link with SRT has been proven a financial disaster -> MOT and those officers in SRT Electric Train who run Airport link have agreed with this viewpoint as they have experience with the bureaucratic red tapes while they need to make urgent procurement.

After the takeover by Ministry of Finance, the 30 billion Baht debts will be handled by the new company as well as SRT. The one who are going to run Airport Link will be Thai Inter and AOT along with Ministry of Finance.

At least, Chiang Mai will get BRT while Pataya prefer Monorail ... since their municipals are not that so big as Greater BKK

Never forget that even within Chiang Mai city area, there are only about 500,000 people - compared to 10,000,000 people in Greater BKK (BKK - Samut Prakarn - Nonthaburi or even Pathum Thani)

BOI considers abolishing the 3-zone systems and replacing with the types of industries to be promoted according to the demands of the country as the 300-Baht daily wage and 15000-Baht salary scheme have rendered 3-zone system no longer attractive ... Environmental-Friendly Industries that use renewable energy with technology transfers and excellent management on environments with the systems to purify wasted water and smoke will get the FULL SUPPORTS ... the rest will get the partial supports.

Furthermore, industries outside the industrial estates will be further restricted.

FTI have supported the new schemes ...

Government Saving Bank now going to invest on Oil-Gold-Stock markets to add more revenue to pay the interests on deposits of 1.6 Trillion Baht ... and finance the loan of 1.5 trillion Baht ... Incredible, GSB has the assets of 1.9 trillion Baht - even dwarf Bangkok Bank or so.
