I've always liked the view from the east. From that angle, there are so few tall towers blocking the CBD towers, making them seem much more monumental.

They do seem more monumental, but I prefer a staggered/layered look. I feel more grounded in a city that feels like it goes on forever or one that looks somewhat complete. For me, an abrupt change from skyscraper to low rise makes the city look like a work in progress and that the growth of the skyline hasn't been a lengthy organic progression. High rise to low rise over just a few short blocks also gives me the feeling that if I ventured another mile or two I'd hit wilderness.

Toronto is rapidly closing in on 9.5/10. Probably the biggest western skyline change this decade, after Miami.
