The beauty of TNSTC-VPM is whatever the area they operate, the people supports these guys and even they look for VPM guys always..
one such routes are 1.thanjavur- vellore 2.Villupuram- kumbakonam (very popular 181 route no) 3.Chennai- Kumbakonam 4.JKM - Chennai ( route 174) 5.Tittagudi - Ariyalur - Thanjavur 6.Salem- Cuddalore 7.SALEM - chidambaram 8.Pondy - thanjavur / kumbakonam 9.Trichy - chennai and many more where ever these guys operate the buses are full bcoz people knows only it stops on only limited stop and timely arrival.. I personally feel , they can make TNSTC independent and can release public shares to collect fund by which they can give good service for the peoples..... really we have to appreciate these VPM guys they feel responsible in running buses with full occupancy and they are never lethargic and never had feelings of working in Govt's corps, they almost act like private bus drivers & conductors which I never noticed in any of the other division guys... |

Temporary Bus Pass
After two months of completion of the school opening till bus pass have not been issued to the school Students, Temp Passes attested by the School Headmasters are in the hands of Students, it is accepted by the conductors also. one such pass issued in Madurai.  Link |

Of course what ever expressed here is true of vpm buses butbthat was long before but nowadays they have become very slow and at times night even express buses from vpm to cmbt make 2 motel stops and they have not upgraded their buses design the Bangalore buses have 62 seats imagine the comfort level
and many more where ever these guys operate the buses are full bcoz people knows only it stops on only limited stop and timely arrival.. There are a quite a few new buses in vpm depot waiting for inauguration.but most of them have only the old model depot designed seats and not the readymade seats sported in some buses

PRTC Volvo
PRTC has re-introduced the 2 Volvos it was having after both the buses went for an FC. This also includes the Thirunallar - Chennai Volvo that met with an accident at Kalpakkam. Now the 2 buses are running in Pondy - Chennai and Pondy - Bangalore route. (I dont know why they have not introduced it in Thirunallar - Chennai route)
I spotted the Volvo PY-01-AB-9889 (the pic in my profile), in white colour with completely face-lifted front profile today morning in Chennai. Still looking like new bus, except for the back-profile which gives the old look of the bus and the AZAD BODYBUILDERS tag. But, i still doubt if they have got back the bus they have already leased. They leased the Bangalore bound Volvo for 26 lakh. I didnt know if they got it back. Can anyone tell me how? Yet to see the Banglore bound bus. I will confirm the complete details this weekend. There was also an Dinamalar news article regarding the above this week. If someone is able to find the article, please post it here. |

Dr.Thapalathy realy shock to see PRTC bus is Insured with National Insurance nice move i think PRTC got some lesson in PRTC Volvo accident PRTC right side is TVMS Cuddalore-Pondy horse design painted bus it is fixed silver vessel in back side slogan "Save rain water "really TVMS garrage got some comedy designs painted Vehicles i used to visit TVMS shed when i lived in Cuddalore before 2 years . .Nice treat of Kasrtc,Ksrtc,Tnstc,Vpm,Slm.Why not our Tnstc Vpm try volvo service from Pondy-Banglore? PRTC volvo's using ECR to Chennai or By-pass? Please put water mark in your pics.
