It is important that you forget all your gadgets and computers once in a while and spent some quality time with friends and family somewhere far from city.

I will never forget our 2010 five days Yellowstone National Park camping trip. Probably the best camping I ever had. I had so much of fun even without a DSLR

. Campfire, singing and dancing, chasing wild rabbits in the middle of the night what not!!..

Long story short it was amazing except some stupid stuffs like jumping into freezing lake water at 4am in the morning (Believe me, have few peg of scotch and you would be fine

) ..

Though, Yellowstone is photographer's paradise and fact is once a photographer always a photographer (pro, amateur or whatever)

..

People and streets of portland downtown, Oregon..

I used nikon d300s. It is advisable not to use a dslr while photographing streets. P&S and mirrorless cameras are good choices for streets. But the fatboy 300s all I had at that time. I used 50mm 1.8d (cheapest, fastest and probably the finest lens ever produced in camera history) all the time. I have set aperture priority at 5.6 and iso 400 all the time. I love spot metering for portrait so I did set my metering to spot all the time.
