I'm glad the typhoon didn't do too much damage to the construction site, it made a mess in Shanghai.

it seems to be incredibly hard to take a bad picture of Shanghai city, everyone looks like a postcard or from a magazine. Simply amazing, I can't wait to visit there next year.

Workers secure wind-battered scaffolds in Lujiazui skyscraper

Workers are reinforcing scaffolding around Shanghai Tower, China's tallest building still under construction in the Lujiazui area of Pudong this morning after some scaffolds showed signs of collapse in buffeting winds.

A construction company official at the site told Shanghai Daily that a section of a road near the building has been closed to traffic to prevent any mishaps.

Many people said on Weibo microblogs that they felt worried after seeing a construction crane on the top of the skyscraper swayed in gale-force winds. But the construction company said the crane has a permissible range of swing and looks normal despite strong winds.

All outdoor construction activities have been suspended today, city officials said.
