For constructed skyline only,
1 - Sao Paulo - sheer size 2 - Jakarta - again sheer size boggles the mind 3 - Sydney 4 - Gold Coast 5 - Melbourne Rio de Janiero, Cape Town & Santiago get a special mention because of their natural setting.

1. Melbourne (growth, size, quality)
2. Sydney (size, density, physical location) 3. Sao Paulo (size, density) 4. Rio de Janeiro (physical location) 5. Buenos Aries (growth) If it were a Top 10 I'd also include (in no particular order): Auckland, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Santiago and Jakarta.

Sao Paulo is massive, but it lacks very tall buidlings.

1. Sydney, Australia
2. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 3. Jakarta, Indonesia 4. Melbourne, Australia 5. Nairobi, Kenya Overall I'm not very impressed with most of the Southern Hemisphere. Thankfully though Jakarta and a few African cities in the Southern Hemisphere (Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Luanda) are growing larger and larger in scale and height. Otherwise, future skylines in the hemisphere wouldn't be offering much excitement to me...

![]() Dude, I respect your opinion, but Nairobi better than São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth, Auckland, Recife, Brasilia, Curitiba, Belém, Natal, Lima, Cape Town, Johannesburg? Are you sure? |

Cape Town's skyline is smaller than Nairobi's. Johannesburg is the best in SA but even then my favorite in Africa is still Nairobi. Santiago, doesn't interest me. Auckland, nice but doesn't interest me,. Buenos Aires, never fancied it. Perth, not even in my top 4 in Australia..... Lima, Natal, Brasilia, really? In general I'm not a fan of South American skylines besides Sao Paolo, Rio, & Bogotá. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Gold Coast are great skylines as well. But of course it's opinionated. You don't agree? Fine, but don't question my opinion and I won't do the same for yours. Are we good now? ![]() Quote:
Australia just happens to have some of the best skylines in the hemisphere, but only 2 to me are worthy of being in my top 5.
