Apart from this was there was 663s SETC which originally took CBE - Pollachi - PAlani - Dindugal - MAdurai to CAPE. And there was this RMTC (ooty - Dindugal) via CBE, POY,PALANI

Thanks for the details sir. I have seen all the above buses.. Palani-Ooty via Pollachi was initially operated by Udumalai depot and not sure who is running it now. Let me check it.

Gudalur-Pollachi from Gudalur depot got extended to Udumalai. Still it waits for some 15-20 minute in Pollachi before proceeding to Gudalur. Let me recheck about the extension of Pollachi-Gudalur to Gundulpet. It used start from Pollachi in the early morning(around 5.00 AM).

You have missed Trivandrum-Ooty service via CBE, Pollachi. It comes to pollachi by 8.30 PM from Ooty and then it will proceed to Trivandrum. i havent seen that 663S. Need to check.

Kallada has added two merc sleeper buses recently and they are running in Bangalore-Trivandrum route. Prakash body building unit did the modification to put in sleeper class arrangements.

how about the other 2?

Now days it became trend among private operators to have such a logo in front grill. Yesterday spotted at Attayampatti,a private guy from Salem towards T.godu had almost same front profile of MB.

Thanks for correction. It is the first time i come to know multi benz having sleeper in this area. However now this yellow beauty is no more.

Even in 2005 the buses that came in 1999 - 2000 batch served this route. TN43N0314 from Gudalur and TN38N0855 or 849 from Pollachi end. Only in mid 2006 both buses got upgrade with Gudalur end getting TN43N34X and Pollachi end bus getting TN38126X.

663S is the original ooty CAPE route no. LAter this 664S Gudalur - Cape started in 2005. 663 still takes the conventional pollachi palani dindugal madurai route (needs confirmation)

A Morning Service it Start POY Around 7-7:30am to Salem And Arrived From Salem to Pollachi @ 7:30-8:00pm.
Then Only it make a Cut Trip to Tirupur From POY Around 8:00-8:30 From POY BS.

These Hill Riders are Now in Good Conditition and we have One (TN 38 N 1300) Refurbished Hill Rider Too...

Last Year in DMK Period We have 60+ Hill Riders. But all are allotted to Nilgiris. And Transfer Some Oldies From Nilgiris to Valparai.
Expect Some New/Refurbished Hill Riders in this Period.

You are right about Gudalur-Pollachi route. We got two buses and one each from both the ends. Gudalur bus used to goto one of the Poy depots for taking rest. Since it is doing Udumalai trip now, it is not going inside Poy depots. Most of the times other division buses will enter Poy-2 depot because it has got huge space compared to Poy-1/3. I have seen KeSRTC, RMTC, VNR region, Trichy region buses taking rest inside Poy-2 depot.

spotted TNSTC-SLM,TN-30 N 1011 of ye-1 depot,doing SLM-PALANI via Erode,Perundurai.Till that,had a thought that these guys doing via Arachalur,Kankeyam route.
but on route details,they have not mentioned anything about via Perundurai.just mentioned Kangeyam,Dharapuram.

Yes some Tnstc Salem buses going Via perundurai, Chennimalai, Kangeyam, they didnot mention about arachalur.

Ya its the first time in INDIA too that hvg Benz multiaxle bus with a sleeper configuration. And the cost of the bus is nearly 1.5-1.7 crores. Kallada only introduce this service First in INDIA before a weeks ago.

They have temp stop the service in their website it shows that all the seats are full for all day i.e they stop the service for temp and i hope they will resume soon.

Except for Ooty - CBE, MTP and later on ERD, all the other routes had atmost 3 or 4 buses. And in general the buses in nilgiris were replaced very rarely... So easy to remember.. Post 2000 since I spent more time in chennai (college) hence bus fanning only in vacation..And from 2004 to 2006 in Bangalore.. So only monthly visit to home.. Post 2007 no fanning there as our family relocated from Nilgiris... I even remember the reg no of buses as early as 1989!!!!! Incidentally the new buses that were in nilgiris in that time had nos such TCB 1963 - 69, 1980 - 1992!!!!!.

First Mec Benz sleeper was introduced by NEETA on MUMBAI - JAMNAGER route. KALLADA was 2nd the bus was supplied by Mercedes Benz and the sleeper arrangement modification was done in Prakash Bengaluru. here is the pic when the beauties are in Modification. The yellow Merc which met with accident is inside the unit.

Many new SETC buses waiting for inguration around 20 of them in setc depot in chennai. Dunno when they will ingauration date .

i got information from a TNSTC-CBE official that all INTERSTATE services of SATHY depot of erd region will be moved to THALAVADI depot .is it a nice move?

any specific reason? I think ,as Thalavadi is near to KA,it may concentrate more on near by KA destinations.currently ,Thalavadi depot is smallest in TNSTC-ERD.Transferring Interstate route to it may provide better scope for the depot.

the reason said was lack of space in sathy depot.now the interstate buses wil do the following trips
TALAVADI-ERODE/COIMBATORE-MYSORE-ERODE/COIMBATORE-TALAVADI
instead of SATHY as maintance point.
as u citied TALAVADI is the smallest depot with 19 BUSES.this will increase the services to TALAVADI as it has become a hill resort these days

Not Only SETC's Waiting, All Division Buses Also Waiting In Depots.
But Still We are not getting any Inaguration Date.
