Good pics that capture the city feel of Melbourne.
I find this billboard totally inappropriate sited as it is on this heritage building. How does it get approved is what boggles the mind. ![]() image hosted on flickr

Its funny you should say that, I found it very comfortable and not really cold at all (mind you it was sunny the majority of the time I was there) however for whatever reason it felt allot colder in Townsville at night then it did Melbourne. Really strange...

Great set of pics.
The QVM is looking alittle tired and grotty, i wish something could be done to make it more appealing to everyone. Dont get me going on St Kilda, for one, dont you just love how prim real-estate on the foreshore is mostly carparks. StKildsa suxs.. Great pics though

If think most of that is from interstaters trying to make where they live more appealing in their own mind. |

Speaking of, I was down in Adelaide with friends from Melbourne last month and they were shocked at how cold it was at night. I actually think that on average this year it has been (or felt) colder in Adelaide than in Melbourne. EDIT: Was it really 28 in Perth today? Wow that's fucked.

Just remember, climate is all relative. When I had a three month contract in Darwin a few years ago, their minimum July temperature was Brisbane's maximum temperature (22c) and people there thought it was cold.

So much to like in this large collection of photos. Give me a Melbourne winter any day over the winters we get here on the US East Coast.

Have you been to St Kilda???![]() From a tourists perspective, St Kilda is a lovely suburb. Wonderful eateries, wonderful attractions and wonderful shops.

the st kilda foreshore and car park is kind of a sour point for most victorian members of this site. They were supposed to build a large amusement complex there but nimbies railroaded it in favour of the present car park ![]() http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/3466/sktrevisedfj1.jpg ![]() http://resources1.news.com.au/images...da-5760851.jpg ![]() http://resources2.news.com.au/images...a-triangle.jpg
