I think this is a great idea. The idea of a BTM expressway from Udpi Garden (which is wide enough to accomodate a 4 lane flyover, atleast, and have 2+2 lanes on either side for vehicles turning left/right) through the AXA signal (where vehicles coming from the 'Lake Rd' will have a much lesser wait) that goes over the CSB flyover would greatly ease traffic.
Having a hanging flyover would easily accommodate a flyover on top of CSB flyover which is too wide for a normal pillar based flyover. This combined with a loop at CSB and a couple of U-Turn flyovers would just make travelling awesome! (Of course after all the construction is done. During the construction BTM would probably look like a nuclear aftermath. Like what Nayandahalli looks like now..) |

My plan
if magadi road improved like this, 90% of traffic problems of rajajinagar (rajkumar road), yeshwanthpur, goraguntepalya will be solved. http://www.flickr.com/photos/prash_power/7806428460/
people can use this road to reach mangalore, dharmastala, hassan, chikkamagalur etc., image hosted on flickr

But yes, we have to cheer and applaud this historic occasion. Has the archaelogical society of India, the Indian History Congress, UNESCO etc been adequately notified? Otherwise they will object to a historical/heritage site being desecrated. |

Any idea what's happening to the idea of the Madivala lake link road?
http://www.dnaindia.com/bangalore/re...a-lake_1639673 I hope this gets done soon. The idea also involves widening of Begur Rd. My office recently shifted from Silk Board to Bommanhalli. I was initially relieved that I don't have to spend 2 hours of each day breathing smoke and dust in the process of reaching / getting out of silk board. Bommanhalli is no better. The 'inside route' to get to Bommanhalli from JP Nagar via Devarchikkanhalli is really messed up. I can't wait for this project to link Bannerghatta Road to Hosur road through Madivala lake to be completed. |

Those buildings look like they'll collapse on the Service lane at any time.

The buildings were demolished for the service lane. They demolished how much ever space they needed and left half of the buildings standing there. It does present an ugly background for the underpass which went through an ugly ordeal of 4 years.

Mysore road will be asphalted only after all works are completed for metro, flyovers.
Just for info, there has been no info regarding when Mysore road was previously tarred and has dubious distinction of being Bangalore s worst entry/exit road. |
