Wow! That's a great photo!

Try listening to this with that photo and see how it works for you. Spanky and Our Gang represented the Chicago sound of the 60s.

Shapoor, thanks for posting those photos. Some of the best I have ever seen!

Ditto. I especially like this one (gives the viewer a sense of scale):

Do you have a preference for Chicago's skyline over New York's? Many people do.

I can't compare. Aside from liking both cities so much, their urban layout and aesthetics are quite different, I appreciate each for what they are.

Chicago is a lot more comfortable for me! It's more sedate and not as intense as New York. Maybe it's an age thing. I think I liked New York more when I was younger.

I've mostly lived in 8 million + cities since childhood so it doesn't me bother at all. I usually feel uncomfortable and bored in less crowded cities. Perhaps age has indeed something to do with it.

Downtown is very clean too! Is it the conscientiousness of the people as well as the city management? I don't see city management alone keeping downtown Chicago looking as nice as it does. I dream about Chicago all the time since I was last there. I just did it again last night.

The people and city management do help keep it clean but one major difference that helps Chicago stay cleaner than say New York are the alleys and sub level streets that way nothing is disposed of at street level. so you don't have garbage on the side walk like in NY.

Shapoor I particularly like the tow pics posted by you in post No.3258 above.

The second is a marvellous shot of the great golden skyline at night glittering away.
