Chicago is a lot more comfortable for me! It's more sedate and not as intense as New York. Maybe it's an age thing. I think I liked New York more when I was younger.

I've mostly lived in 8 million + cities since childhood so it doesn't me bother at all. I usually feel uncomfortable and bored in less crowded cities. Perhaps age has indeed something to do with it.

Downtown is very clean too! Is it the conscientiousness of the people as well as the city management? I don't see city management alone keeping downtown Chicago looking as nice as it does. I dream about Chicago all the time since I was last there. I just did it again last night.
