I have a friend who does some of the production on that series but have never seen an episode or even talked to anyone who has. It's like it's in some unknown void, even though I know it's actually on the air!

magic city. its an excellent show, i didn't miss one episode! you need to netflix season 1, its already over.

Well, that's just great.
Go $40 million in debt. Get rid of a profitable business that brings jobs and image to the area, then tear down the building that was bringing in the income and spend money that you don't have on a park that doesn't bring in one cent of revenue but will cost a ton of money to maintain.

I don't get it. Why would Sarnoff want to do this? Maybe he's just trying to force Burn Notice to pay more in rent. If so, I'm afraid the producers might call his bluff.

It wouldn't surprise me. For a long time Hollywood has tried to extract(extort?) very low to zero rents from the towns they shoot, in order to increase profits as much as possible. Most towns chuck it up to paying for "advertising and publicity". But increasingly more and more cities and towns are realizing the increased traffic and other headaches the filming industry can cause is not worth the publicity.

Although it isn't on primetime t.v., I just recently saw the movie Step-Up "Revolution" that was filmed in Miami this past year. I may have to see it again because I was more fixated on the skyline and city sites than on the awesome dance moves. Imo, this was probably one of the best films that I have seen in a while that captured Miami in a different light. If you haven't seen it yet, go check it out because I believe it deserves two thumbs up!!

In Sweden, there was this television series about DJ's and how it was to be an up and coming star.
It follows them in Sweden and in the end when they go to Winter Music Conference.

It's six episodes and it's subtitled. If anyone is into that genre; it might be fun.
