Apparently, the first time that a flood came(1 week ago) which wasn't so much but it effected the metro. Therefor they used some tools to prevent it from happening again. But I don't know how much it worked

how much in per cent are the TBM tunneling works complied about?
and how much the station works around this?
From a 2003 pamphlet I have a description of the alignment and kind of construciton (viaduct, tunnel, TBM etc) but this is not corresponding with the pictures of recent years - do you have a more recent description?
> and a englsih station name map?
Station 5 looks like to add later, because the viaduct was complied - and now 2 side platforms are adding - correct?
will all stations with side platforms?

is the information correct, that line 2 construction contract was placed and construction will start soon even line 1 is not yet open?

they are talking about the project for this time - but finally approval was 2002 and construction started 2003.
the have much delay because of unexpect construction problems because of the difficult ground condition there - and also some interruption because this.

Yes, a part of the first line will be ready soon, it will pass from station 5 but will not stop there.the station would be ready a few months after a part of line 1 is ready.

Unfortunately I don't have an English map. The most recent map of progress I have is this:

Only line was is being tunneled and the green+orange indicate the tunneled part by TBM machine till the end of 2010 (2 years ago).

Hope it helped.

many thanks!
because I can't read farsi - what means the description in the map:
green:
black:
orange:
> it seems to me it means what is complied by building and what is u/c

do you have also a map showing which sections will be elevated and underground?

which part will open soon? and when?

Brown: to be tunneled
Orange: has been tunneled in the last 10 months of 2010
Green: have been tunneled before

About the elevation, the elevated parts start somewhere between station 4 and 5(you can count from the right side of the map). Goes underground again somewhere between station 6 and 7. I think the rest is underground.

They say different dates for opening, in 5 to 8 months
station 1 to station 11 will be opened first

The planning for this line started in 1968... Construction in 2003 (10 years ago, ok not 30) And they say it will be finished in 2017 (i don't believe this). So 15 years of construction in maybe the most developed country in the world... great success!

I don't like to discuss under Tabriz Metro on Amsterdam -but will finally give some notice to clear this.
planning not started in 1968! then the basic long range plan was presented.
planning of N-Z line started in 1988 - and during the 90th for over 10 years were discussions about the split of finance betwenn Amsterdam and Government.
Do you have a understanding how difficult it is to build a subway in Amsterdam?
it is one of the most difficult ground condition in the world. all buildings stands on tree trunk deepth ub to 12 m - including the main railway station. and this was crossed by one station very deep under this. All stations had build first before starting shield tunneling, which is now ongoing. in 2009 was a interuption for more than one year because some buildings shows layings.
if all is going now well they will open it in 2017.
but we have much cost-escalating - from the original budged of 1,5 bn EUR we are now arond 3,5 bn EUR.
