Chounz try and make a simple Google search of Iraqis (common ordinary Iraqis) and then tell me if you seriously think that 90 percent resemble people from the Levant? I know this might sound absurd for some but I have seen many Saudis who are lighter than the Iraqis I have seen in Iraq and on simple photos. Try make a search of immigrant Saudis studying abroad in the US or Europe and you would see that yourself.
Also check out the pictures I posted of ordinary Iraqis in this thread. They are definetely not looking like people from the Levant. And they are completely average Iraqis. The first pictures that appear when you search "Iraqi people" on Google are these. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Levant people? No way habibi! All random pictures from all over Iraq.... (Sunni, Shi'ah, North, Central, South) Could go on posting similar photos of large gatherings of ORDINARY Iraqis. No pictures of Anbaris who are nowhere similar to Levantine people either! I also think that we can savily say that a lot of Iraqis do look like Southern Arabs. Also I do not know why but many immigrants I see in Europe from different places (Iraqis, Saudis, Yemenis, Palestinians, Pakistanis etc.) do indeed look "lighter" than their countrymen back home. Could be the climate. So don't think they are representative of the millions of their countrymen back home. Also let me say that I find this whole skin colour/race thing pathetic and I don't understand why we Iraqis, Arabs and other non-Europeans put so much energy into it. (often). It's pretty sad really. I have experienced that many Arabs and people from Middle East (especially Persians) have this mania about skin colour. Not as bad as Indians/Pakistanis though, LOL. You know what I mean if you know just a little about them and their culture (Bollywood and whole thing)

Did you not say that you were Persian less than two days ago?
And Persians are darker on average than Greeks, LOL. Not even up to discussion my friend. Italians are also lighter than the Greeks on average. You told me that your father has blond hair (if I recall it correctly) so as you can see he and his likes are a minority in the Middle East. I am sure you have figured that out yourself already anyway. French people are not brown-skinned. They come in all shapes. Depends on the region of France. It's a large country - the biggest in Europe after Russia. They are basically Caucasians like all other native Europeans. Italians are light people. They look like Southern Europeans who are light in general. I know this because my mother is partially Spanish, French (of French and Italian descent) and because I have lived in France and Spain. In fact those two countries are the only countries I have lived in apart from my 2 year long stay in Denmark so I should definetely know what I talk about. The "darkest" (not really dark or brown or similar to the average person from the Middle East) are Portuguese and Cypriot people and Southern Greeks. There is little difference in the rest of the Europeans in terms of NATURAL skin colour. |

I know this already Hashimi which is why I was saying that the Iraqis from Iraq in pictures look quite different than the Iraqis you actually see in real life.
Nevertheless there are plenty of pictures of light skinned or levant looking Iraqis just look at this thread from the beginning until page 31. This includes people from Iraq (mainly children) and also diaspora Iraqis. Maybe the reason why the majority of Iraqis you see in the diaspora are light-skinned is because the VAST majority are from Baghdad (maybe more than 80% or 90%) ...apart from the Kurds of course. Overall in the arab regions of Iraq I think the majority are probably dark-skinned, this is what it seems. But places like Anbar and Ninawa light skinned people make a huge proportion; much more than southern Iraq for example. |

And this is pretty much how ordinary Anbaris look like. Very Gulf Arabic looking btw:
The whole Dulaimi and Shammari tribe (the by far biggest tribes in Al-Anbar and the AL-Jazira region in Iraq) actually have a similar look to that one: ![]() ![]() (Sheikh Abbas al-Muhammadawi - not Anbari but many have a similar look)![]() ![]() Some sheikhs from Al-Anbar during a tribal meeting: ![]() All famous and ordinary Sunni Arab leaders from Al-Anbar: No resemblance to Levant people either. And here is the emir of Dubai: (Average looking Gulf Arab) ![]() The emir of Kuwait (ordinary looking Kuwaiti as well) ![]() If people did not knew either of them they would no way be able to tell where they were from! Or which one was from where! Also I think most would even say that the Anbaris are more "Arabic" looking! A LARGE collection of photos of ORDINARY Iraqi pupils in Baghdad: http://iraqslogger.powweb.com/index....a2ce675e6fb7f8 Yes my friends, that's actually how ordinary Iraqis look like. Nothing to be ashamed of anyway! |

Baghdadis are not light skinned nor are Levant people that anyway. So we have to disagree.
Take a look at the link I posted that shows a large collection of pictures of ordinary young Baghdadi pupils. Saddam Hussein were not light either, LOL. Don't know who told you this. Izzat is not looking like a ordinary Iraqi! He has a very special look, LOL. Unlees you are going to tell me that there are many Iraqis that are gingers! ![]() ![]() Saddam in court and after being a prisoner for over 2 years (not sure if he could ever go out in the daylight while in prison) Uday: ![]() Dead Qusay: ![]() There is little to no difference between Sunni and Shi'ah Iraqis in terms of skin colour. I for once have seen no differences, especially not from Al-Anbar. I agree about the immigrant part Chounz. Goes for all immigrants I have seen. North Africans in Paris as well. |

Oh, not that guy again. Ruined? You do realize that this is the Iraqi FACES thread like? All people, apart from the emir of Dubai and emir of Kuwait I posted as comparison to some famous and ordinary looking Anbaris, are all IRAQIS. Ordinary Iraqis, if we exclude the Tikriti clan posted here.
Also, I did not start this discussion nor have there been any "problems" during this discussion. Not sure what the hell your problem is. If it's something personal then go ask for help elsewhere, I am afraid that I won't be able to help you. |

Come on!We have to disagree with the later part though, Sheytan. Not with Southeastern Syrians. That's basically the same people like Anbaris. There are also strong tribal and cultural ties to the Shammari tribes living in Northern KSA and some tribes in Jordan. Of course it's absurd to talk about future "states" or which divided parts of Iraq will join who or if anyone at all etc. But if they should join anyone it would naturally only be those areas due to geography, culture, religion and tribal ties. But well as I always said then I hope for a united Iraq. Although I am getting more worried lately due to the large amount of retards who are doing everything in order to destroy and divide Iraq. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did anybody see the latest relaese of AQI? Bloody hell that was some sick shit. Not sure this is the place to post it although Basrawii used a similar clip to somehow "prove" that ALL Iraqi Sunni Arabs are out to get him and other Shi'ah Arabs. |

LOL.... why are you posting pictures of bedouin tribal sheikhs from Anbar... of course they are not light skinned (even though I have seen many on TV that are) ....what did you expect blondes and blue eyes??
Did you even read my last posts? There's no winning with you is there? Just take a look at today's Iraqi politicians. (As much as I hate posting pictures of these guys but you're making me do it) They must be decent representatives of what Iraqis look like they even come from all regions of Iraq from north to south. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Like I said, just take a look at pages 1-31 of this thread and you will see what I mean. Palestinians are the same btw. The majority of Palestinians from palestine you will see on the news and pictures and everything they are dark skinned (similar complexion to their fellow dark skinned Iraqis actually ;P) ...but then when you see them in real life you realise the most of them don't look like that and are lighter than what they seem from pictures. |

No I usually get a headache and urge to hit someone when I read your posts SumerianAkkadian. The amount of bullshit you are able to write is amazing. I would really love you to go to the Shi'ah Arab majority areas in Iraq and tell that you regard them as Persians and Iraq as Persia. I am sure you would be up for a good beating or two.
The rest of your post is either a joke or some kind of desperate rant. I suggest you take your medicin. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What? Bedouin? They are all born in the cities. That's how ordinary Anbaris look like! My extended family in Ramadi are not bedouins and they look like those ordinary Anbaris I posted. They (Shmmaris) have married Dulaimis who are the majority tribe in Al-Anbar. They look like most of the their neighbours and most others as well. Kubaisi is not a bedouin either! There are very few bedouins left in Al-Anbar and those who are left live in the Ar Rutbah district and I have not posted any pictures of them. Have you ever been to Al-Anbar? Also the Anbaris I have posted are not darker than the 30-35 pictures I posted of ordinary Iraqis in the streets. Take a look yourself. I hope that you will not claim that those are bedouins too... Those you posted are the minority. Don't tell me that you have seen many Izzat Ad-Douris in Iraq? I also suspect him to be of mixed origin. Izzat comes from the Turkish name Izzet. He might have been partially Turkmen. Yes, they are Iraqis as well but I am more talking about Iraqi Arabs. Who is that 3 guy? Looks like an half-Iraqi. No way he is representative for even the diaspora Iraqis living in the West. Is Shahristani's family not from Iran originally? His surname is Iranian..... And is the Al-Hakim not from Iran originally as well? The rest are fine and part of the minority looking Iraqis IMO. I thought we agreed on that? And I already said that there are many of those as well but they are not in the majority. But not sure if they look particularly Levantine to me. I don't regard Palestinians as brown skinned. Nor those you see in the pictures or those in real life. I lived in Copenhagen for two years and there the biggest Arab communities are from Palestine and Iraq. The Iraqi Arabs were on average darker. I regard Palestinians as the most light skinned Arabs together with Lebanese and Syrians. I know this is also very much the case in real life from experience. Of course there are exceptions but that's not the point here. |

Well done you just demosntrated that you have learned to quote. Please counter anything I said in those posts. Silly one-liners will not help you. Or are you one of those who think most Iraqis are light skinned and all look like Italians?
