Yeah, you can see on GE/GMaps how well it's laid out. There are plans to expand it but that hasn't gone down well with farmers in the region.

They've dedicated a chunk of sector 8 to IT/ITES companies and tech parks:

Some of the developments to look out for:

Cyber Walk - website -last update

Spire Edge - website - 91 meters - U/C on the top right of the map

^ These are both LEED Gold/Platinum certified developments.

thanks IU,

the day govt does something for flyover/elevated road from hero honda chowk to Toll (and expand/shift the toll), many IT companies would set up their base in manesar

have heard from my frnds working in TCS that they might shift their offices from ggn to manesar because of rising rentals

Only thing, I have heard Manesar doesn't the lifestyle amenities (bookshops, malls, multiplexes, good schools etc) yet that Gurgaon does. Connectivity with Delhi has to improve too.

Indian Culinary Institute might come up near Gurgaon

Yogesh Kumar, TNN Jun 21, 2012, 10.07PM IST

Tags:Indian Culinary Institute|Guru Gobind Singh|Bhupinder Singh Hooda|Bhupinder Singh
Gurgaon: The central government ambitious project of Indian Culinary Institute (ICI) might set up near Gurgaon region. After mulling over several options of locations, the tourism ministry had decided to set up the ICI around National Capital Region and the Haryana government has agreed to provide the required land.

The exact coordinates of the land have not been finalized but the state government has informed the tourism ministry about its decision for the project. Recently, in a high level meeting on the project, the chief minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, had announced the decision.

The state government will provide 50 acres of land for the project and has demanded 50 % reservation of seats for the students of Haryana. The chief minister also demanded that the villagers and land owners whose land would be acquired for the project should be given employment in the institute. For industry Gurgaon has long been a preferred destination but now the Haryana government is focusing to develop it as educational hub. A week ago the state government approved eighth private university and of these three are coming up in Gurgaon region.

The city already has four private universities catering to thousands of students from across the country. The new private universities are GD Goenka, KR Mangalam and Guru Gobind Singh Tercentenary University. The private universities will offer a host courses ranging from management to engineering. In addition to these the region will also have Indian National Defence University for which the state government has already provided the land to the central government.

Reservation for local students is not correct. IITs, IIMs are excellent because they don't have reservation. It will lower quality.

Hi, Just came across your website, I was looking for an office complex for my son. The office should be 1000 sqft, spacious, well connected with metro. And also if you can guide me in a better way? I am in no hurry can wait another 4-5 years but one project which is very much in news these days is City Center project. Should I wait for this project? Is it worth waiting for it?

Hopefully Mumbai comes up Sachin tendulkar tower, Kolkata sourav ganguly tower, Delhi Virat Kohli tower, Bangalore anil jumble tower. Chennai ravichandra Ashton tower. Hyderabad vvs laxman tower, Allahabad amitabh bachchan tower, and Mumbai again Shivaji tower. Yes because that's what India desperately needs.
