hkskyline's 2011 INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA Photos
Incheon is located just west of Seoul along the coast. While it is an independent city, it is closely linked with Seoul, being home to its main international airport. The subway lines even reach here after an hour's journey. The terminus station is nothing interesting architecturally, but is conveniently situated across from Chinatown's Paeru (traditional gate).

Wow great shots, very cool to see the Long Beach of Korea! Port cities always have a certain kind of personality, a bit gritty and edgy. I also love port cities with hills.

Being a port city, a number of historic buildings are still standing along Incheon's streets today. Some have been converted into museums.
Bank of Japan #58 ![]() ![]() The Incheon Open Port Modern Architecture Museum utilizes the former Japanese Bank #18. It contains models of historic buildings, many of which have been lost. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Incheon Open Port Museum used to be the Bank of Japan #1. Built in 1899, it was the depository for the Japanese consulate. Today, it hosts exhibits from the open port era. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I helped myself to an upper floor conference room at the Harbor Park Hotel to see the city from above. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
