Si te pierdes en la selva y te pica una serpiente, luego te come un jaguar, tampoco te va parecer muy bonito......

La carretera es un "plan con maña" pues está ideada y hecha especialmente para el mercado californiano, que visita y visitará Peñasco, además el proyecto Liberty Cove que se verá beneficado también; te dejo un artículo relacionado: *** Californians know The Coastal Highway is Coming By Phyllis LeFevre, Residential Specialist, Coldwell Banker Rocky Point At the beginning of June my husband, Norman, and I made a trip to Los Angeles to catch a cruise ship bound for Ensenada. Besides all the fun and shopping we experienced, we had the opportunity to meet people from all around California, including many from San Diego and other locations in Southern California. The first question asked by those we met was “Where are you from?”, and when we shared that we are from Rocky Point, it was amazing the excitement expressed about the new Coastal Highway! For those of you who aren't aware, Rocky Point is about to have a new and very important connection to the United States: the long dreamed-of Coastal Highway, the first phase of which is only months from opening. Originally announced by Sonoran Governor Eduardo Bours in November 2003 – just months after his election – this important 375-mile road building project will extend from El Golfo (just south of San Luis and Yuma, Arizona) all the way to the southern tip of Sonora. President of Mexico Vicente Fox visited Sonora in April 2005 to lend both his personal support and federal government assistance to this $200 million public works project. The highway is designed as a scenic coastal route, virtually all of which will have ocean views, and which will guarantee the development of literally hundreds of miles of pristine coastline. Moreover, this new highway will further deepen our connections with our California neighbors, and make it far easier and quicker for them to enjoy Rocky Point, the Gold Coast, and the Mexican experience. The day we arrived in Los Angeles was beautiful and, since we were not scheduled to board our ship until the afternoon, we decided to ‘cruise’ the Pacific Highway. Both of us being full-time agents of Coldwell Banker Rocky Point, we couldn’t help ourselves but to stop and pick up a local real estate guide to get an idea of home values along Southern California's Pacific coast. As experienced real estate professionals, we were not surprised to see that there was not a home or condo available on the water for less than $1M -- or off the water less than $800,000 -- but it sure brought home to us why Southern Californians were so excited about even easier access to Rocky Point, with it's ocean-view condominiums starting at less than $200,000! On board ship our cruise-mates – most of whom hailed from Southern California -- continued to ask us about Rocky Point and the Coastal Highway. We were very impressed by how many people were familiar with Rocky Point and had either been here, or were planning to visit in the near future. There also seemed to be a great awareness of the upside investment potential of presently modestly-priced Rocky Point properties which, Norman and I agreed, was understandable: these Southern Californians had lived through a recent explosion of valuation and understood just how quickly markets can change from “bargain” to “very-difficult-to-afford”! Our older cruise-mates, in particular, seemed to also be aware of the substantial economic benefits of retirement in Mexico, and showered us with questions about the cost of living, which we happily answered from our own very pleasant experience of the economic benefits of life in Mexico. Health care was, of course, a topic, and our friends were really excited to hear about Rock Point's new hospital – which has already opened -- and the second one in the works by Amerimed! It was also striking that many of our cruise-mates were aware of the developments outside Rocky Point proper, and understood the implications that the Coastal Highway would have if they chose to purchase further south along the Gold Coast. Norman in particular – as project sales manager for Gila Towers on the Gold Coast's Playa Dorada – had a very hard time leaving work behind! All in all it was a most enjoyable – and educational – journey. Norman and I look forward to seeing more and more of our California friends as full-time residents and investors in Rocky Point! http://www.cbrockypoint.com/article_...iacoastal.html

Last edited by jealindgar; September 22nd, 2012 at 09:58 PM. |
