I hope they dont get rid of the Chang Jiang Cable Car. It is too bad the Jialing Jiang Cable car is history, but CQ wouldn't be the same without a cable car.
I suspect Chang Jiang car will be history soon with the opening of Subway Line 6 and that new bridge under construction, but I PRAY they keep the cable car running as a green alternative and tourist attraction if nothing else. ... Tremendous views of the city!!! |

good to see Guanyinqiao along with Jeifangbei.
Most people probably do not realize that Chongqing is a collection of districts; each with its own CBD. Each district is a city in its own right, with the CBD equal to most city's downtown area. Very unusual to have a city with four major CBD's (Jeifangbei-Yuzhong, Guanyinqiao-Jiangbei, Shapingba-Shapingba, and Nanping-Nan'An) and countless lower CBD's (Daping itself is a venerable CBD). I Love This City! |
