Executive management of DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ met the Ambassador of the Republic of China H.E. Yang Weiguo and a delegation of representatives from a number of Chinese companies on Tuesday, 25 October 2011. The purpose of the visit was to introduce DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ project and to acquaint the delegates with the sophisticated and top-notch facilities that would be available on completion, and the high standards of construction and infrastructural development maintained. Of special interest to the visitors was the proposed China Town district, which will be located in the International Logistics Zone. Developed on similar lines as other China Town projects in the region, currently operational in Kuwait, UAE and Syria, the DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ concept will have several unique features making it an attractive business proposition for Chinese companies and investors. It will consist of an International market, a China Town Mall and a heritage mall with an old-world ambience where one can shop for traditional souvenirs and ethnic goods. The set up of a Chinese International School is also an important part of the concept plan.

"بيتك البحرين " : ديار المحرق" تدشن قريباً مجموعة مشاريع عقارية سكنية وتجارية

قال الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة ديار المحرق ،إحدى الشركات التابعة لبيت التمويل الكويتي ـ البحرين " بيتك البحرين " عارف هجرس ، أن الشركة ستعلن نهاية العام الجاري عن مجموعة من المشاريع الجديدة المتنوعة، من بينها أربعة مشاريع عقارية سكنية وتجارية .


وتوقع هجرس الانتهاء من نحو 75 % من مرحلة الدفان لهذه المشاريع قبل نهاية العام المقبل، مشيرا الى أن هذه المجموعة الجديدة تأتي امتدادا للمشاريع التنموية التي يواصل "بيتك البحرين " طرحها في السوق البحريني والتي تهدف أغلبها للمشاركة في توفير السكن الملائم لمختلف شرائح المجتمع، والمساهمة في تعزيز النهضة التجارية للمملكة .


على صعيد متصل أفاد رئيس مجلس ادارة شركة بيت الإنماء العقاري، التابعة لبيتك، خالد معرفي أن شركة أخرى منبثقة عن مشروع ديار المحرق، انتهت من بناء نماذج فلل لذوي الدخل المحدود ، مشيرا الى أن هذه النماذج ستكون متاحة للراغبين في الاطلاع عليها قريبا، على أن تدخل الشركة بعدها مباشرة في مرحلة البناء .


وأشار معرفي الى أنه ستتاح للمستفيدين ثلاث مساحات الأولى 180 مترا مربعا ، والثانية 210 أمتار مربعة ، والثالثة 240 مترا مربعا ، لافتا الى أن الأسعار لم تحدد بعد بينما ستخضع لأوضاع وتطورات السوق .


وأضاف : «أسعار فلل المرحلة الثالثة ستكون في متناول معظم المستفيدين، وستستغرق عملية الإنشاءات في مشروع ديار المحرق 20 عاماً بسبب حجم المشروع الذي يمثل مدينة جديدة بجميع المقومات».


يذكر أن "بيتك البحرين " ينفذ حاليا عددا من المشاريع التنموية الكبرى في المملكة حاليا ، أبرزها درة البحرين ، ديار المحرق في القطاع العقاري ، بالإضافة لاستثمارات أخرى في قطاعات الاتصالات والطيران، والرعاية الصحية.

أجرى بيت التمويل الكويتي مفاوضات مع وفد تجاري صيني لإنشاء مركز تجاري صيني نموذجي جنوب غرب ديار المحرق مساحته 1.8 مليون متر مربع، يتوقع أن يوفر المشروع 2500 فرصة عمل، ويضم المشروع كافة أنواع المنتجات الصينية، فيما يتوقع أن يدعم المركز المشاريع الإنشائية بالبحرين ودول مجلس التعاون الخليجي إلى جانب فرصة المشاركة في إنشاء مشاريع إسكانية لذوي الدخل المحدود.

وكان وفد تجاري صيني برئاسة السفير الصيني بالمملكة وينغ قوه والملحق التجاري وعدد من رجال الأعمال الصينيين، أكدوا خلال زيارتهم لبيتك ـ البحرين رغبتهم في الاستثمار الصناعي بالمملكة.

وأبدى الوفد التجاري الصيني الذي ضم أيضا نائب المدير العام لوزارة التجارة في إقليم نينشيا بجمهورية الصين الشعبية تشانغ شيوى، رغبته في الاستثمار في مشروع ديار المحرق، حيث قام بزيارته وتفقد جوانب المشروع، مؤكدا حرصه على زيادة أوجه التعاون بين الجانبين، وقد عرض عدد من مسؤولي "بيتك ـ البحرين" فرص الاستثمار والتسهيلات والخدمات التي يقدمها البنك لمساعدة الشركات الصينية على دخول الأسواق المحلية والإقليمية.

وقدم العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي "لبيتك-البحرين"، عبد الحكيم الخياط، شرحا مفصلا عن الدور الهام والاستراتيجي الذي سيلعبه مشروع ديار المحرق في تطوير وتنمية سوق السكن والتطوير العقاري في البحرين.

كما قام بتعريف الوفد الصيني برؤية ديار المحرق التي تهدف إلى خلق أكبر مشروع سكني تطويري متعدد الاستخدامات في المملكة ، مع عرض فرص التعاون التي يوفرها مشروع ديار المحرق للوفد الزائر.

وقال الخياط، في تصريح صحافي اليوم الثلاثاء"نحن سعداء للغاية لبناء روابط للتعاون مع نظرائنا الصينيين، لما سيحققه ذلك من منافع ستعود على بيتك- البحرين، وعملائه، والمملكة ككل من خلال افتتاح مشروعات وفرص استثمارية جديدة، لقد شملت المفاوضات الاستثمار في البيوت النموذجية بمشروع ديار المحرق.

وأضاف "نعتبر الصين الشريك المثالي للتعاون التجاري المتبادل والمساعدة على تدفق الاستثمارات والأعمال التجارية فيما بيننا. ومن خلال عملنا معا سنساعد الشركات في البحرين والصين على تعزيز الأعمال والشراكات الإستراتيجية بين البلدين".

A high-level Chinese trade delegation, led by Mr. Zhang Xiu, Deputy Director General of the Department of Commerce of Ningxia Hui Region, in the presence of the Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Yang Weiguo, met with Mr. Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, the Managing Director and CEO of KFH-Bahrain, Mr. Aaref Hejres, CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq, Mr. Osama Al Khajah, Chairman of Baytik Industrial Oasis and senior officials from the Bank to discuss investment opportunities in the Diyar Al Muharraq project.

The visiting officials were taken on a tour of the Diyar Al Muharraq project site with a view to increasing the potential scope of cooperation between the two entities.

Talks between the delegation and KFH-Bahrain focused on investment opportunities, facilities and services offered by the Bank to help Chinese companies serve the local and regional markets. During the introduction to Diyar Al Muharraq, Mr. Alkhayyat explained to the delegation the strategic pivotal role Diyar Al Muharraq will play in the overall development of Bahrain’s housing market. He also shared Diyar Al Muharraq's business vision of creating Bahrain's largest mixed-use residential urban development. A review of opportunities for cooperation between the Diyar Al Muharraq project and the visiting delegation also followed.

Mr. Alkhayyat, commented, "China is a highly developed and industrialised nation and we are pleased to be forging stronger cooperative ties with our Chinese counterparts. Opening up new projects and investment opportunities in the Kingdom will not only benefit KFH-Bahrain and its customers, but also to the future development of Bahrain in general."

"We feel that China is the ideal partner for mutual business cooperation to aid the flow of investments and business between us. Opportunities exist in both countries and by working together to support domestic and international companies in Bahrain and China, we can boost the strategic business partnership between the two countries," he added.

My cousin bought a house of 400 houses were sold during the last two months in Diyar Al Muharraq and they told him that it would be ready within two years, that is supposed to be a very fast construction of the first phase of homes sold

Developmental work in Diyar Al Muharraq is very fast as it is in the B-Bay, we hope to get some pictures soon, it was announced they'r start of the second phase of the homes after the month of Ramadan.

Bahrain seeks to progress Dragon City project



Senior Bahraini officials have held talks in a bid to push ahead with plans to bring a major China-themed mall to the Gulf kingdom.

The country's deputy Prime Minister and chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Services and Infrastructure were among those at a meeting to discuss the feasibility of establishing the Dragon City retail project in Diyar Al Muharraq.

The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr Hassan Abdullah Fakhroo, plus directors of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry were also at the meeting, Bahrain News Agency reported.

Further talks have been agreed to establish "an integrated mechanism for the project as well as procedures and controls of establishing it in the kingdom of Bahrain".


In May, it was reported that Bahrain’s Diyar Al Muharraq had signed a deal with Chinamex to develop a 334,000 sq ft China-themed shopping mall in the Gulf state.

Dragon City, slated for completion in September 2014, will have an initial capacity for up to 100 Chinese companies and businesses. The mall, located in the downtown area of the Diyar Al Muharraq development, will be managed by Chinamex.

Dragon City is expected to attract more than half a million visitors a year, said the company.

China’s fast-emerging middle class is boosting tourists and shoppers to the GCC. Dubai developer Nakheel is doubling the size of its Dragon Mart Mall, adding an additional 1.7m sq ft of retail space and 5,000 parking spaces at the China-themed mall.

Qatar’s Barwa Real Estate last year signed a deal with Chinese retail giant Dragon Mart to open a market for Chinese products in the Gulf state.

Diyar Al Muharraq is a $3.2bn mixed-use development being developed by Kuwait Finance House Bahrain and several other private GCC-based investors
