I hope they keep the wonderful curved buildings behind, they are 60s feeling and I love them.
Anyone else notice what has been built doesn't look like the artwork?

Me too - but if you look at the render I posted here the main tower has a two story (?) building sticking out the back of it where these buildings would be. So I think they will be knocking them down at some point, along with the old HQ to make way for the new Mosque.

Yes, they do! I live in DC for a while and these reminded me of Watergate Complex.

I love that building too but this is less bulky. The adnoc office was built in '79 and watergate was built in the 60's which is why this building has that 60's look.

It's a shame they are knocking it down but I imagine like many old and some new buildings in Abu Dhabi the construction quality is rubbish. They did take a section of it down to build the new tower.

It is a shame that as most cities develop they buildings from each decade where as here they are just demolished as most of no merit. This building I feel does have some and also has a story and a history with it being ADNOCs office.
