Sheffield Random Images Thread

Hello guys, hope you don't mind me starting up my own little thread, but I had a little holiday in your fine city, and I tooks a couple of Pictures, some good, some bad and some ugly, I thought I'd share them with ya!

Just a back street where I parked my car, now if I didn't know I would have said that was in Birmingham.

New Devoplment, I liked the Spoon motif in the metalwork!

Couldn't quite fit all that one in, next time I'll get a camera that can pan out...

That's a shocking piece of parking isn't it?

Well at least the chairs are nice!

To be honest a lot of this edge of the shopping bit reminds me of Pre-New Bull Ring Birmingham

I really like this one, I though it was a Modern Church when I first saw it up the street,

And the old ones not bad either!

Lol. You managed to get a lot of the bad bits didn't you. The part that you compared to the pre-bullring area is all gonna get redeveloped so well have a decent shopping area, like the bullring.

And, Don't think it's anything anti Sheffield, I've posted up some right shockers of Manchester and Birmingham, I should be visting another Yorkshire Town soon, and I'll be putting up my own personal taste of pictures, maybe some people like Brutalism eh?

Lol. I wasn't particularly complaining about you getting the bad bits. It's good in a way, cause so many people just post pictures of the good bits. And there's some brutalism that I like. I love the Park Hill flats, and I think they'll look brilliant once theyve been spruced up.

Can't read the plaque, but think this may have been a Methodist Hall, there seems something slight wrong about that becoming a pub, ah, what the heck!

This is a great square, I love the wall memorial and the fountains are smashing in their Square way!

Touristy bit coming up:

I just about remember the old town Hall extention, it's improved a bit since then hasn't it?

And those Fountains/water features are really well done, saw a lot of people in the square having a nice time later on.
