The other great view hotel is the Millenium Hilton which looks over the Oculus, but when 2 and 3 are done, it will be a narrow view.

The memorial trees have looked so much healthier this year than they did last year, with the leaves being greener, fuller, and more uniform. Fall colors are starting to set in.

Now if they would hurry up with the NE corner. Back in the spring I was thinking that they might as well and wait and plant those trees during late fall or winter, since that's the best time for transplanting trees. But at the rate they're going, it'll be next spring or summer before they get to them.

Work seems to have stopped again on the roof of the Pavilion. The suspense is killing me waiting to see if/how they will hide that ugly "garage" on the roof.

Lastly, I wish someone would fix the roof of the large vent structure. This has been bugging me for over a year:

It is the webcam link. Desertpunk posted it as an image link, thus his post always shows the latest image instead of one he captured at the time he made the post on Sept. 26th. It fooled me too, at first.

Uh-oh. Looks like the bronze panels have a noticeable deflection, I hope engineers counted the live loads.
