It was a mission school, so there's nothing fancy about it save for a few buildings like the school chapel (has some baroque influences in its design.)

Well, looks aside, it has traditionally been the best performing boys high school in the county.

Mchamaa wa Kiheho...was my rival school. Attended Kagumo.

Most Nyeri High students used to call the school Kavau, not Kiheho anymore.

Kagumo was Kafao or Kaggz, but we called Nyeri high Kiheho and had a bitter rivalry with them especially when it came to B.G Ngandu Girls.

They have finally got round to recarpeting the road to Kiganjo (B5) which connects Nyeri to the Nairobi-Moyale road (A2). Took these pics around the Gamerock area.

I was just driving by the place. I assumed it would be an apartment block when complete. Looks like Mpeta guest house finally has competition in this neighborhood. Thanks for the information Macha.

good news for Nyeri

The Sh9 million facility will have 10 cottages and a similar number of executive tents. The eco-lodge on the university’s 140- acre wildlife conservancy will be managed by the university’s Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
Once completed, the venture is projected to earn the university an estimated Sh9 million annually. Two of the cottages will have triple beds while the rest will hold twin beds. The tents will all also have twin beds, bringing the bed-night capacity of the facility to 44 guests.
The cottages, which resemble traditional huts, will be built with natural materials to blend in with the indigenous forest in the conservancy and will be grass -thatched.
Furniture will be constructed with treated deadwood collected from the conservancy while the tents will all have raised wooden platform floors and grass- thatched canopies.
The environmentally friendly facility will strictly use solar power while all human waste will be treated and used to fertilise the conservancy’s plant life. A 50-seat seminar room which will double as the dining area will also be constructed.
