Dex, my daughter is now Copywriter in one of the big ad agencies, but she is complaining of the difficult work schedules. Ordinary saiya an mag uli na mga alas onseng banggi and still work on weekends pag may deadline sa produkto niya. Do you have the same working load in your company. I am thinking of letting her apply. Thanks.

Thanks for keeping the thread alive.

Once completed, it can accommodate A321 NEOs and even A330s and B773s (yes, B777-300 ER widebody twins can land and takeoff on a 2,000 meter runway; try Google on Kurfu Airport in Greece), considering that here, unlike the present airfield (with Kimantong Range, Downtown Daraga, Lignon Hill, and the heavily populated Rawis District), there are no approach and takeoff restrictions.

For Phase II the runway should be extended by another 1000 meters and widened from 45 m to at least 60 m for it to be ready to host B744/748s and
A380s. Also needed are rapid exit taxiways.

Phase III, another runway, 3,500 meters long with an airfield as wide as 500 meters some two kilometers southwest of this runway; two parallel runways will make simultaneous landing and takeoff possible.

Phase IV? Build another airport in Castilla or Pilar!

Steve, por favor, I keep editing, so please "unquote me," heheh.

At first I thought "2,100 meters" was a typo as it does sound a bit short for an international airport but they could always extend it towards Castilla/Pilar. They just have to secure and/or purchase the land immediately south of the runway before it's too late.

^The blueprint clearly shows that the northeast end of the runway has provisions for extension.

I want to see it extended southwest, farther from Kimantong Range and Mount Bariw; nevertheless, both ends have enough room for future expansion.

At least there is a separate taxiway which will prevent delays in landings and takeoffs. As monsi's "research" will reveal, even a B777 can be acommodated in a 2,000 runway. So anyway, we are not expecting naman those big birds immediately. Not within the next 10 years maybe. If ever we will have international flights later, they will only be using A321 at the most since most flights will be regional. PAL uses A330 and B747 on its Cebu and Davao flights because of the volume of domestic passengers. Even the regional flights emanating from Cebu and Davao use medium sized planes only.
