no real chance of a euro break up especailly over the next 12 months. Soverign defaults yes but the euro will survive although it may weaken.

Difficult few years ahead.

Do you think it will go under $1000 ever ? Planning to buy when it touches $1500 in new year before it starts rising in later part of 2012.Still holding British sovereigns bought in Dec 2009.Not a bad investment. I remember HT never liked gold.He suggested Lloy.l shares as an opportunity at 58p.

Don't know, to me the price still looks high, and hence I don't feel safe and staying away from gold.
