It took me a minute to realize that he's not Iranian!! The accent is almost identical! Is he trying to sound Irooni or is that their accent?

wow in holland even? interesting. I just know that there are many Turks, Moroccans, and Indonesians there.

But Southern California and Southern Ontario has the most Iranian population outside of Iran. I mean in places like Los Angeles, Irvine, Toronto...

haha its funny but the neighborhood Kattenbroek in the city of Amersfoort (Holland) has a lot of Iranians. In total we are about 40.000 Dutch-Iranians in Holland.

very nice bandari folk from hormozgan
there is a few types of bandari
the ahvazi khuzestanbi type and then the variations across the southern persian gulf and even among arabs states which all root from the same bandari music
very diverse and very "world" type, various rhythms, some remind me of some latin american rhythms and some have flamenco feelings, and some with a bit of an india tune all in a uniquely original bandari form

a world of art and culture it is

this song was also the second part of sandy's famous "emsho she"

guys have you noticed how near-dead iran's music, especially pop music is ? this goes for dancing and such events as well

we will never see people like gooogoosh, ebi, dariush, aslani, hayedeh aref delkash vigen etc for a long long time unless there is a major overhaul in the development of art

we have lost ourselves. not to say there arent talents, there are, somewhere, few and far in between, however, our art has lost its purity, some think its progressing but there is no structure, no proper order in any of it
this is what we produce, literally, sassy mankan and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=az2yGZHvLJo

we havent learned our traditional forms, nor the new forms, as a result, we have neither correctly, and all that is made is a nasty sloppy mix of the two, a mix that destroys both sides, because it hasnt been taught by master and wise people in a systematic way

its a result of a self destroying system, not only in the arts , but this can even be seen in politics, architecture, etc

a beautiful song from maziar, sadly he died in a car accident
i never lived in those days but such songs give me such a weird nostalgic feeling
simple, from the heart, with talent
doesnt try to act like anyone
real music
