New York vs. Hong Kong - Page 6

Yeah HK is only beautiful at night. Looking at Central framed by the mountains across Victoria harbour during the day is just not a pretty sight at all

I will agree that HK's biggest downfall compared to NYC is the fact that it destroyed many of its amazing historical buildings. NYC was the original skyscraper city, and has a wealth of amazing skyscrapers from that era.

A standard apartment building might not look like much from the outside (although I actually like the character of the older externally run down buildings with lots of air con units and clothes hanging out the windows etc, but look at what happens on street level. There is so much diversity and so many random little alleyways and shops on random levels etc.

As a born and bread New Yorker, i have to admit a like Hong Kong skyline better.

I prefer NY's huge and massive skyscrapers to HK's skinny towers.

HK 10 v NYC 10. I can't choose. Love them both for their own reasons. Easily 2 of my favourite cities in the world.

As for me HK is world best. NY is 3rd, following Dubai.

HK - 10/10
Dubai - 9/10
NYC - 8.5/10
