What can I say? Another fantastic thread. You have an eye for finding the exact perfect angles for shots. I really love the interesting contrasts you find, like that nice little house dwarfed and completely cast into darkness by dilapidated grain silos.

If you're anything like me, it's because of the heat. This is my primary (okay, sole) reason for avoiding spending an afternoon or evening out with the camera in the summer. It's unbearable. I would gladly bundle up and go exploring in subzero temps on a sunny winter day rather than spend even half an hour traipsing around in the hot months. I'll undoubtedly rescind this sentiment in February, but I'm actually hoping for a "real" Minnesota winter this year with lots of snow, like back in 2010-11.

I think part of it is the heat, part of it is that I am always busy in the summer and part of it is that I like the photos I get in the other times of the year better.

I actually think it works to our advantage to be under the radar. All the cool cities eventually become giant yuppie magnets which changes the culture and causes over the top gentrification. The cool cities du jour are always ruined by this process in the end.
