Can't subforums be linked from the main South Africa section like they are in the Moroccan forum? It looks a lot neater and it saves time.

I like the new set up. Much better, makes SA sub-forum more attractive too.

New setup is great. Any chance of adding a SADF section for posting articles regarding our armed forces?

too many sub sections. I don't think the SA forum is active enough to accommodate so many sub forums. Already some of them are starting to feel like very lonely places.

Hey guys,
It's almost exactly a year ago that you guys and I proposed changing the SA forum for better navigation, and through persistence and assistance, the changes that were requested (collaboratively by you guys) have been done

Thanks! Love it
![]() Just one suggestion while we still have admin's attention ( ). Would it not be better to move the Discussion sections under their relevant cities instead of their provinces. Because if you follow the link to Cape Town from the main page, for example, it takes you to a sub-forum that has a link to the Projects section, but one has to manually navigate back to get to the page with the link to the Discussion forum. If that makes sense?

Unfortunately the change you're talking about is a rather complex procedure, so it wasn't done on this time of asking. Here's how I laid-out the original proposal from last year.... it's in a thread on the South African forum somewhere: Quote:
---------------------------------------------------------------------- At present, the "Regional developments" sub-forums (Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape) look cluttered with their cumbersome layout. Can the internal navigation within the Regional sub-forums be changed to the following format: Quote:

Quote:
---------------------------------------------------------------------- The main changes from the current version to this proposal are summarised below: In the "Regional Development and Discussion" section 1. Merging the Eastern Cape sub-forum with the Rest of South Africa sub-forum. This reduces the number of sub-forums in this section from four to three (Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape). 2. Include links to individual cities on the front page of the South Africa forum. For example, under "Gauteng", include links to "Johannesburg", "Pretoria" and "Rest of Gauteng". (Example: the Moroccan Forum) 3. Modify the internal navigation of the regional sub-forums (Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape), to the format shown in Fig. 2, Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 respectively. In the "Economy, Infrastructure and Transportation" section 1. Create a new "Transport and Infrastructure" forum. Dissolve "Aviation", "Maritime" and "Roads and Railways" into this. 2. Change "Economy and Public Services" to "Business, Economy and Services". Dissolve the "Telecoms" forum into this. 3. Make "The Touchline" a sub-forum of "Sporting Infrastructure and Events" ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you guys think we should ask to have the Transport and Infrastructure and Urban Transport sections merged? It gets a little confusing when looking for threads as they're technically the same thing. And the latter section only consists of 19 threads anyway.
