I am referring to skyscrapers as in buildings that have a major impact on their skyline.

I see, thats because by the time cities were building the towers that were tall enough to make up their present skylines, Beaux arts was not very popular anymore

I love 70 Pine Street. I never like 40 Wall Street, or Woolworth, or the singer building.
