apparently, there are around 8 or so prospective tenants trying to get in to the former Urban Flats location at the Plaza South Tower at Church & Orange.
The good news is that one of them will become the new tenant, but, the others may be candidates for CCS as a backup, since they are expressing interest in that general area to open up shop. |

That may be the most valuable retail outlet in downtown Orlando at this point.

I heard something about the Plaza being renamed to Chase Plaza and that (presumably) a bank will appear somewhere in base of the building.

Hertz Rent A Car is close to opening in the Plaza.
Chase is being built out as well. It's now Chase Plaza- sign on South Tower; Urban Flats space has been leased, it seems. no news as to whom. |

Behind the Urban Flats space against Church Street. I've been wanting to take some pics but leery of taking pics of a bank, if it's not all the way finished yet.

^Why not? Not like retail banks have some secret layout or construction techniques.

It is against the law to take a photo inside a bank but I don't know the laws regarding looking through the windows of a bank under construction though. Just would rather be safe than having to explain myself to some rent-a-cop patrolling the area.

yep, its now the Chase Plaza. It was supposed to be the Premiere Trade Plaza until they backed out and didn't move in (Premiere America Trade).
Those Chase signs are looking sharp. |

So, the Plaza has the following spaces being built out now in varying degrees of completeness:
1. Chase bank branch 2. Hertz Rent A Car 3. French bakery (along Magnolia) 4. New eatery-bar concept by the people at Bento |

7-Eleven is leasing out the space at Rosalind & Central. Yes, it is true.
So, once this opens, there will be a 7-Eleven at Rosalind & Central, The Plaza, 55W, and the other 7-Eleven/gas stations at SR 50 & Magnolia, and Summerlin & Central. Did I miss any? 7-Eleven is to downtown Orlando like Cirque du Soleil is to the Vegas Strip. |
