Largest new developments...

1. Warsaw (Osiedle Wilno, over 5k of apartments)

2. Wroclaw (Olimpia Port, over 5k of apartments)
3. Warsaw (Osiedle Derby, 4722 apartments)
4. Warsaw (Osiedle Skorosze, 3964 apartments)

Good day,

It's a little bit offtopic, but...

I have one plea,

Maybe one of you have plan of cityhalls in Poland like Old Olsztyn cityhall, Biecz cityhall, Mlawa cityhall.

I think it should be in books like "History of Architecture of Poland" or something like that.

By the way, maybe do you know more simmilar renaissance city halls to this, which was in Merkinė, Lithuania, demolished in 1885

City hall of Merkinė, Lithuania

I need to colect more information about simmilar type cityhalls like this. I know that Poland has a lot examples.

this city hall built in 1595
restaurated - 1660

Thanks, but I know these drawings.

I am interested now in interrior layout, because there is no iconography about inside of this city hall. I hope you have photos, plans of simmilar city halls in Poland, because all simmilar city halls in Lithuania to this (Merkinė) were also destroyed and iconographic material dissapeared.

I doubt there was any common scheme for floor plans. Usually there was jail and store in basement, services for populace on the first floor (inn, official scales, shops), on second floor court hall and offices, higher, more offices and private apartments of officials, guard-room on tower. Generally they were multi-purpose buildings, all or almost all of them refurbished and rebuilt many times through history to accommodate to changing needs.

I think Warsaw's National Library would be good for a start. Maybe e-mail them, it wouldn't hurt Nearly all cities in Poland has got couple of monographies, published some time between 1965 and today. And if it was published, it should be in the Nat. Lib. Probably the best idea is to enter the Nat. Lib. website, write "Historia..." (thats Polish for "history"), then add name of the city and see what comes. Perhaps there is a possibility to order some books in digital version or order xerocopies by mail. Anyway, good luck!
