The problem is that different cultures have different tastes. For instance, you probably like gold teeth or you find a mobile phone decorated with diamonds attractive. In the West they find it very very tasteless..

1. Taipei 101, Taiwan (incongruous, atrocious glasswork, vertical misfit of an awful taste)
2. Ambani's Antilla. Mumbai (a monument to a bad taste for times to be)
3. Elephant in Bangkok (just a ludicrous mammoth of a queer taste)

So all in all I could've included some "fine" specimens from the Persian Gulf nations, China & Macau but ran out of nominations)) Hereby I can suddenly infer that most of the worst nowadays architecture comes from Asia, the observation perfectly serves to bolster the statement that you can grow rapidly rich yet remain as uncouth and tasteless as ever. Money alone can't buy classiness.

It kind of fits for a casino. Not much worse than the New York or any of the other themed casino hotels in Vegas.

I'm sorry, but the Grand Lisboa is in a league of its own. What were they thinking? Design a building so ugly, that it will actually draw people's attention?
