Yes I realise that. I'll clarify my comment. I said diplomatic style, in which I broadly referenced how in Yugoslavia they used those vertically aligned characters. As I am sure you are aware, this tradition has been continued after its breakup in many of its subsequent nations(and of course, the current serbian diplomatic plates are almost identical to the final diplomatic series of Yugoslavia) . Hope this clears things up.

I love the various plates we can get in North America. My state's (Wisconsin) pretty much suck, mine is the only style the state offers that I really like:

Which is okay. Our continent has so many great ones though!

Just a couple, and that's not even close to scratching the surface. It adds so much variety. It'd be sad to have Euro-style plates where the differences are so minor.

Texas has a ton of license plate options. It's awesome to see a state dmv so open to various license plates, especially living in a state that has such a strict dmv.

Would you mind telling us what those are? Yes, some of them are obvious, but not all.

Now, why is like every car in the Monaco pictures on these threads a Ferrari or a Maserati or a Porsche...? I know the place is chock full of rich people, but does no one else even visit?

My favourite are Japanese:

(c)Dino Dalle Carbonare

They have great proportions. Black characters on white background- siply and clear.
The European plates are quite nice, instead of UK. For me, British license plates are awful piece of plastic.
The characters are too big and they have ugly yellow background.

I like Australia's perspex number plates - well in QLD anyway.
