Been a bit busy lately so I haven't really built anything recently, I did however give the CN tower a go... I'm not too pleased with the upper half of the tower, i'll have to go back on day and fix it, but for now it'll do.

Been a while since an update; not a whole lot to update here, but I did the Air Canada Centre, Infinity Phase 1, and a few more fillers. Still plenty of major recently-announced projects that will have HUGE impacts. Mirvish Towers, 10 York, Harbourfront Plaza, ICE, One Bloor, etc...
*I also redid Bay-Adelaide East, hardly noticeable, but basically i got rid of the corners, and fixed the dimensions of the footprint Update November 18, 2012 image hosted on flickr

Happy Holidays!
Been a long while since an update, I haven't really had that much time to finish up the model, Got sick of waiting for a finalized 1BE height, so I built it 255m to the fins (flat fins/roof, which I've heard is what they're going with... If that changes, I can always trim the roofline) Gotta say, it's taller than I thought it would be. And with the recent supertall/near-supertall proposals, it's mind blowing the impact they will have. I've also been thinking of making crude massing models for the massive new tower proposals around the city [Gehry Towers, Oxford Place, etc...). Perhaps to keep me invested. *STILL haven't gotten around to building Roy Thompson ![]() Update December 24, 2012: image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr

Looking amazing! Loving the idea of massing models for the new supertalls, too. You don't have to do them to much detail.. just gives an idea of scale!

Steveve - supreme work. Congratulations and a big thank you for posting.
I agree with Andrew JM3D - it should never be finished. It should be like a diary, a continuing project. Cheers, mate. |

sorta... when I "finish" it'll be when I've covered the entire space which i have to work with, then in my mind it'll be a "done job". but I'll definitely try to update it with all the new major projects, because with the rest of the model complete, there won't be any catching-up with the city (we'll be on the same page) ![]() ... kicking off 2013, I decided to build simple massing models for 2 of the Theatre Block proposals, 50 Bloor, and the Simcoe towers across from RBC. I mean, they stick out like a sore thumb (I purposely made them grey which, I now sorta regret), but once more finalized designs/approvals are set in place, they'll be tossed in the garbage anyway... for now, it gives an idea of what to expect down the road. I also decided to go ahead with Harbour Plaza, considering the office portion has started construction. I was hesitant to continue with the residential towers since they haven't even opened sales yet, but i figured that the final design won't be too far off from what we have , considering they already had a design overhaul. *and ya, I did a really rushed job stitching and cropping the photos. but they'll do for now. BUT, one way that works is if you open the images in a new tab (or click the flickr icons below them) Also, here are the links to my model photostreams as well (where you can view them in they're original size )#1 http://www.flickr.com/photos/59739087@N04/ #2 http://www.flickr.com/photos/92482555@N02/

These models are so accurate. I feel like if I was shrunken down and put on those streets it would be the same as walking them in real life!

Yes, I'll do my best to depict the Gardiner
^Been a long while since any significant updates. But, as of late, massing models for a few towers, (Since I had 2 unused buildings laying around, I placed them as a fantasy development at Bay/College, a two tower condo complex at 185m and 170m. Just a realistic development I could see going up there) Update April 1, 2013 *Waterpark Place III is missing in the first 3 photos, but is present in the last 2 image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr

Good job steveve, your downtown is getting more and more dense. The Oxford twins and theater block are going to be really great additions. I'd considering moving my Family tomb from Hong Kong over to Toronto if these towers get built.
