@ Greenfield Airport & Palace Gardens:

This site is far off from the new airport location. Only the Airport Funnel area and landing & take off corridor will have issues of height.

By initiating the Feasibility studies, MoCA has indirectly given the Go Ahead for the Green Field Airport. The LA issue is with the SG only.

DMK Govt initially showed over enthu as the Grandsons were having lots of land bank and this LA issue became a handy tool to discipline them.

After Kannkal Panithana / Idhayam Inithadhu episode, the LA issue was put in back burner.

Hope ADMK Govt revives that and start the LA quickly.

Absolutely Right.I remember people from some surrounding villages appealed to Jayalalitha when DMK was in power and she created hurdles and stopped land acquisitions.

Not sure why the prices in SPD nearby areas have skyrocketed.... A mere study and no official announcements have driven the prices....

Both JJ and the other totally useless politician PMK opposed the green field airport/land acquisition for the current airport/ satellite city south of kelambakkam on the lines of Anna nagar

JJ and also The great Ramadoss opposed because the land under question was used more than once in the last few decades for agriculture.

Why don't we construct the new Airport near Sri City, it would closer to North Madras than meenambakkam.

1.lakes in to slums and unapproved plots.

2. Rivers to drainage.

3. Purpouse built Parliament & library to makeshift hospital.

4. Marsh land & Wet lands to garbage dump and Sewage out let.

5. Goverment land to free Patta for the poor & needy who sell it for crores.

6. Roads in to parking lot & market.

7. MRTS stations in to Adult entertainment venue at night.

Who said we cannot convert anything in TN.

Well said bro. Every thing has a rhyme and reason and in this case this is for money. I had opinionated similar emotions in an earlier post about buildings near the coast which thye govt said it is bad for the enviroment but these goons have forgotten what they have done to convert the Holy Cooum ( Yes! it was aholy river) into something terrible. How come they have not raised a finger to clean this river which can be Chennai's life giver??????
